                                                 Lesson plan

Topic:    Unit 3. Lesson 1.  Letter Aa and Bb. Christmas Tree!                                                                                       Aim :     -  To revise and consolidate vocabulary

                and structures learnt in previous lessons.

              - improve the spelling of letters Aa and Bb

Structures: Let’s decorate the Christmas Tree!

Vocabulary: candy, Christmas Tree, box, present.

Learning objectives: by the end of the lesson pupils will name, point and write letter Aa and Bb. Вe able to pronounce sounds correctly.

Materials:  a notebook, internet resource (  videos ),  flashcard numbers , colours,  pictures , colored  pencils, blocks, activity books, magnet English letters, TV set.,

colored balloons.

                                                  Lesson context 

1. Warming-up

• Greeting:
• T: points to the watch and says: “ Time  to begin and speak English.

Time to greet!

• Sing the song with Matt : “ Good morning song!”
• After the singing pupils hug each other and shake hands.

2. The main part

1 .Repetitions the colours: What colours were the words?  ( greeting)

    ( Good morning!  Good morning!  Good morning!)

Pupils take the blocks and name the colours.

2.Game:  Teacher says the words, pupils say the colour.

( apples. kiwis, lemons, bananas, chips, stars, cats, bats, ballons)

3.  Let’s sing about ballons.

4. Game for smart pupils !  Boys, how are you strong?  Blow the balloons!

(вчитель у коробці має кольорові кульки. Каже до учня: «  Your balloon is …( color )” one by one  choose the balloon. Then boys are blowing the balloons).

    5. Game for girls!   Choose the right   letter: Bb   or  Aa?

 Teacher shows the flashcards.

 If the word starts with Aa you have to – clap.

  If the word starts with Bb you have to - spin around.)

                            Aa is for:                                  Bb is for:

  ( pictures: balloon, book, box boys, apples, bike, ant, bus, alligator, angel, bee).

6.Writing time.  Write letter Aa in the air , on the left hand, with your head ).

7. Draw a big alligator.  A- alligator     B- big

• Teacher: Look! What a magic box!  It’s nice and colorful! It’s  a ….
