На уроці вирішувались такі завдання: навчальні- розвивати навички читання, вдосконалювати мовні навички; виховні – пропагувати здоровий спосіб життя; розвиваючі – розвивати уяву. Для успішної реалізації цих завдань треба було налагодити довірчі відносини з учнями, створити атмосферу зацікавленості кожного учня в роботі класу та оцінювати діяльність учнів не тільки за остаточним результатом, за процесом його досягнення, стимулювати учнів до висловлювань без страху помилитися, дапи неправильну відповідь. Підбираючи матеріал, перед усім, я враховувала вікові особливості

                        The 4th form.  “Fruit and Vegetables”.

 

Objectives:

  •              to develop reading skills;
  •              to foster pupils` spoken habits;
  •              to traine pupils` in usage of personal pronouns;
  •              to advertise healthy way of life.

Materials needed:

  •      pictures of fruit and vegetables;
  •      copies of the adapted text “The Orange – Tree”;
  •      the box of words on the themes clothes, fruit, vegetables, animals;
  •      cards with personal pronouns (the Nominative Case), (the Objective Case).

Warm up:

T: Good morning, children. How are you?

     I am glad to see you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Tatiana Petrivna.  Today I`ll be your English teacher. We`ll speak about fruit and vegetables.    Name yourself, please.

    I want to start our lesson with the English proverb: “An apple a day keeps the

    doctor away”. How do you understand this proverb?

P: We have to eat a lot of fruit and vegetables.

  Work with words:

  This school year you learned many words, group them according to the  

    following themes.

Clothes

Fruit

Vegetables

Animals

 

 

 

 

A pine-apple, stockings, a duck, a carrot, gloves, a tomato, a pomegranate, a raincoat, a tomato, a cucumber, a fox, a suit, an apricot, an orange, trousers, a horse, grapes, an onion, a cow, a pig, a grape-fruit, boots, garden, a garden.

Reading:

T: I see that you know the words. Now children let`s read the text “The Orange-Tree”.   

Look at the backboard. You see that some words are missed in the text. Complete it.

1.T: Do you like oranges?

2.T: Correct the mistakes.

      1. A  tangerine is sour when it is ripe.

      2. The orange-tree grows in the North.

      3. The orange-tree is not tall.

      4. A cherry is green when it is ripe.

      5. My mother gives me salt juice.

3.T: A strange tree grows in your class-room. Look at it and say what fruit and vegetables grow or don`t grow in the trees.

T: Діти, сьогодні ми повинні згадати, що особові займенники (personal pronouns) в англійській мові мають два відмінки: називний (The Nominative Case) і об’єктний (the Objective Case).

 T: Find your couple.  (Children are divided into two groups.) The first group receives the Nominative Case, the second –the Objective Case.

T: Take the cards and read the sentences and translate them.

    Replace the underlined nouns by the personal pronouns in the Nominative or Objective Case.

T: On the blackboard you can see pictures. Read the new words and translate them into Ukrainian.

Make the words from the following letters:

    Braeryrps, eogosybre, clareybkbr, ruatnrc, wtasryrebr /a raspberry, a gooseberry, a blackberry, a currant, a strawberry.

During the lesson you had difficult words. What are they: a proverb,  sour, the South, ripe, a raspberry, a gooseberry, a blackberry, a currant, a strawberry. Write them on the blackboard.

Summarizing: You learnt a proverb, new words, recollected pronouns.

Homework: revise personal pronouns, write 5-6 sentences with words on the topic “Fruit and Vegetables”.
