Тема: Healthy lifestyle. Social problems. Infinitive forms. Revising

Цілі:

Практична:  вдосконалити навички усного мовлення і читання, вдосконалення граматичної навички.

Освітня: розширити знання учнів про ведення здорового способу життя, ознайомити с перевагами ведення здорового способу життя, ознайомити з соціальними проблемами підлітків.

Розвивальна: розвивати культуру спілкування та мовленнєву реакцію учнів.

Виховна: виховувати любов до здорового способу життя, до спорту, закликати відмовлятися від шкідливих звичок.

Обладнання: роздатковий матеріал, підручник, відеоматеріал.

                                             План уроку

  1.                Початок уроку – 5 хв.
    1.       Організаційний момент – 1 хв.
    2.       Фонетична зарядка – 1хв.
    3.       Мовленнєва зарядка – 3 хв.
  2.            Основна частина уроку  (30-35 хв.)
    1.       Перевірка домашнього завдання – 10 хв.
    2.       Практика мовленнєвої діяльності  - 6 хв.
      1. Тренування читання. Робота з текстом – 5 хв.
      2. Тренування граматичної навички – 5 хв.
      3. Перегляд відеоматеріалу з його подальшим обговоренням – 10 хв.
      4. Групове обговорення  – 7 хв.
  3.        Заключна частина – 7 хв.

3.1 Підсумки уроку – 2 хв.

3.2 Повідомлення домашнього завдання – 2 хв.

3.3 Виставлення оцінок, мотивація роботи – 3 хв.

T. Good morning friends! I’m glad to see you. How are you today? How did you feel yesterday? Well? I’m fine, too. It’s so glad we all feel fine. Are you ready for the lesson? Are you ready for the discussion of a very important problem in our life? What’s the problem? What’s the subject of our studying?

P: It’s the problem of our health.

T: Yes, the subject is « Health Lifestyle». So, let’s begin our lesson.

Try to repeat the sentences:

Betty bought a beautiful bright blue blouse.

Barbara dabbed boiled berries on her biscuits.

The clock in the big brick building went Bong Bong.     

Boyd boasted about the boys on the ball team.

T: You were given a task to find some sayings and proverbs about health. There are some puzzles in front of you. These are the words from the proverbs and saying about health. Work in groups and make up the sentences of these words and be ready to comment on them.

P1: Good health is above wealth (comments).

P2: A sound mind in a sound body.

P3: Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise.

P4: An apple a day keeps a doctor away.

P5: Laugher is the best medicine.

(Pupils comment on the proverbs).

T: You all have proved that there's nothing more important than health. Now, please, tell me how to live a healthy life style? What is the tip (advice) for the healthy life? How can we start healthy life?

P1, P2… (Pupils answer the questions)

T: These are questions that we should ask ourselves every day. How to live a healthy life? First, you must have a healthy life style. Secondly, you must eat healthy food.  If you want/ wish to live a healthy life, exercise or sports are the most suitable action you should take.

School, lessons, games, clubs, homework. A bell rings. But one day young boys and girls will be at school for the last time. And then they are confronted with difficulties. They must make a decision: to enter a university or try to find a job. In Britain life used to be fun for teenagers. They have money to spend, and free time to spend it in. But for young people life is harder now. Jobs are difficult to find. There is not so much money around. Things are more expensive, and it’s hard to find a place to live. Teachers say that students work harder than they used to. They are less interested in politics and more interested in passing exams. They know that good exam result may get them better jobs. One of the main problems of young people is drugs. This is a relatively new problem but it is becoming more and more dangerous. Million young people today are using drugs, and most of them will die. Usually they want just to try it, then again and again… and after year may be two years they will die. It’s true. There is no medicine to help you. That’s why you should never do it, if you do – it goes bad, very bad. People of almost every age are susceptible to this pernicious disease but it hits the youth the hardest. Its name is unemployment. The percentage of unemployed youth in the total number of the jobless is high. In many developing countries the situation is more serious. There are many youth organizations in Britain, which unite young men on different principles. There are some informal organizations, for example: skinhead, hippies, punks and so on. Now there exists the problem of misunderstanding between different youth groups. They also face the problem how to spend their free time. They can do it in different ways. Some of teenagers spend their free time in different night clubs. Other young people spend their free time in the streets.

  1.  Обговорення з учнями

T: There are many problems society faces nowadays and any problem can be considered from two points of view: if it is right or wrong. But it is dangerous to discuss social attitudes in such a way. Scan the situations given below and discuss in your groups what you feel to be right or wrong in them.

TV greatly affects the minds of the young people; it doesn’t aim at bringing up patriots of their motherland. Is it right or wrong?

  A young man, a person of age, doesn’t agree to serve in the army, to defend his motherland, in a word. Is it right or wrong taking into consideration that the constitution proclaims it a scared of duty of any obedient citizen?

People with higher education are paid less than those who don’t have good education at all. Is it wrong?

(Pupils are discussing in groups)
