Тема: Україна –європейська держава

Мета: Повторити і активізувати лексичні одиниці за темою в мовленні учнів, увести і відпрацювати вимову географічних назв, повторити правила вживання означеного артикля перед географічними назвами, удосконалювати техніку читання, перевірити рівень засвоєння лексики з попередніх уроків. Розвивати увагу та пам'ять учнів. Виховувати національну свідомість.

Тип уроку: комбінований

Інтегрування: англійська мова, географія

Обладнання: підручник, карти Британії та України, картки для словникового експрес-диктанту для 2-х варіантів, картки для самостійної роботи в групах, картки з реченнями для читання

                             Хід уроку

І.Привітання

Good morning, dear friends. Who is on duty today? What day and what date is it today? What season is it now? What are winter months? What is the weather like today? Who is absent? What was your homework for today?

ІІ.Повідомлення теми та мети уроку

At our lesson we’ll speak about two European countries : the UK and Ukraine. What other European countries do you know?

We’ll write a dictation and read a text about our Motherland.

ІІІ.Мовленнєва зарядка

First of all let’s train our sounds. Repeat after me: Ukraine is a wonderful country in Europe. Is Ukraine a wonderful country in Europe? Why do you think so?

IV. Перевірка домашнього завдання

At our last lesson we spoke about the National symbols of Ukraine. Look at the blackboard and name them, please

You had to make sentences  about the people in the pictures of Ex.5, p.132.

V.Мовленнєва практика

Work in groups of 4. Look at the phrases on the cards. Decide what country you have to describe. Make sentences with these phrases.

1)an independent state, wonderful nature, the Trident, generous people

2)an island country, 4 capitals, an official language, a European country

3)the longest river, one of the oldest cities, the Anthem, high mountains

(the rest of pupils, the weakest ones, read the sentences on the card on the blackboard about Ukraine after the teacher and try to translate them)

1.Ukraine is situated in Europe.

2.Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine.

3.The National Flag, the Trident and the Anthem are the national symbols of Ukraine.

VI.Письмо. Виконання експрес-диктанту за лексикою з попередніх уроків

You can see the card with the words for our express-dictation. You will be both pupils and teachers. After writing it you’ll check your partner’s work. There are 12 words. You have to write down only the number of words.
