Інтегрований урок « St. Valentine’s Day» у 5 класі

  (англійська мова та малювання)

Мета: - ознайомити учнів із традиціями святкування Дня Святого Валентина 

             у Великій Британії ;

• розвивати навички аудіювання, мовлення,  соціокультурної компетенції учнів;
• поширювати знання учнів про країну, мова якої вивчається.

Обладнання: підручник, зошит, кольоровий папір, ножиці, клей.

                          Хід уроку

     І. Підготовка до іншомовного спілкування.

1.) Організаційний момент. Привітання.

2.)  Введення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Аудіювання тексту St. Valentine’s Day.

St. Valentine was a bishop lived in the first century in Rome. During his lifetime, the Roman Empire always attacked the surrounding tribes. Theodor the second believed that marriage made soldiers weak. Therefore, he forbade the marriage among his soldiers. It considered a great sin.

A kind bishop helped the lovers. He served a holy ceremony for those who came to the church. The Empire recognized it and ordered to arrest the bishop. He was prisoned. One of the guides had a blind daughter. The bishop treated her. She fell in love with him. The Empire decided to execute him. Before his death, he sent a letter to the girl and signed it «Your Valentine».

Valentine is believed to have been executed on the 14^th of February, 270 AD.
