 2 клас (англійський блок)

Subject: To Form Pupil’s Calculation Skills.

Object: to form pupil’s calculation skills to do sums and tasks, activate lexical units “Numbers”, “Animals”, develop logical thoughts, communicative skills, high-interest to study Math and English.

Procedure

І. Introduction

( The blackboard is covered by curtains. There are cards with numbers on each desks.)

T: Good morning!

Ps: Good morning to you!

      We are all  in our places

      With sunshining faces.

( The curtains is opened. The pupils can see the blackboard is decorated like a ring in the circus)

T: Today we are going to the circus. All of you have cards with numbers. These are tickets to the circus. You have to call the numbers from your card and take your place.

( Pupils call their numbers one by one)

II. Phonetic drills

T: First who is meeting us in the circus is funny little clown.

Rhyme “The Funny Little Clown”

[a:] [ou] [i:]

I’m a funny little clown.

I say, “Ah-oo-ee-oo”

My mouth is open wide

When I say, “Ah-ah-ah”

I draw my lips far back

When I say, “Ee-ee-ee”.

My lips are very round

When I say, “OO-oo-oo”.

“Ah-oo-ee-oo”

“Ah-oo-ee-oo”

I’m a funny little clown.

III. Oral Counting

T: Today we’ll meet a lot of animals-actors. And first of them is… You can help me. What is it? (It is a fox)

1.The fox can ride a bike. (Pupils come to the blackboard and comment their operations: eight plus five equals thirteen, thirteen minus seven equals six, ets.)

2.T: Next actor is …( an elephant)

Help the elephant to do this sums.

12-☺=8 (twelve minus four equals eight)

☺-6=9 (fifteen minus six equals nine)

7+7=☺( seven plus seven equals fourteen)

☺-3=10 (thirteen minus three equals ten)

9+☺=11 (nine plus two equals eleven)

3.T: Now there is a seal in the ring of our circus. Do you know its name?

Do these sums and use the code to know its name.

4. This actor brought us next task. What’s this? ( a monkey) He is very clever and ask you to do problems.

a)  Daddy caught 7 fish. Alice caught 8 fish. How many fish were caught?

b) Mother planted 9 flowers. Mary planted 4 flowers. How many flowers did they plant at all?

c) Christy read 14 books. Rose read 5 books. How many more books did Christy read then Rose?

d) A shop 19 pens and 9 pencils. How many more pencils did the shop sell?

 

IV. Rest Pause

Song “ I can count”

Then the lesson continues   in Ukrainian.
