Topic: Back to school. My school is cool.
Aims:
- to develop students’ language skills using interactive forms (interview, discussion);
- to promote students’ creativity, to motivate students in expressing their opinions - on the problems under discussion;
- practice using school vocabulary and modal verbs
- to tech students to find specific information in the text;
- to develop students’ skills in giving opinions.
Outcomes: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
– match the subjects with the activities;
– read ,listen to and watch for specific information;
– identify new vocabulary items both in oral speech and in writing;
– conduct, analyze the survey;
– create an ideal timetable
Equipment: laptop, sticks, table with model verbs, big flower “SCHOOL FAMILY” with harts, smiles with mood
Procedure
T: Hello children. My congratulation for you. It's new period in your school live. New friend, teacher, information.
I'm glad to see you. You are the pupils of the 5th form now. You are strong and healthy after your long summer holidays. I hope you had great time in summer. I am sure you are ready for active work. Let's start our lesson.

Game «Guess who is this?»
T: It's a pity I don't know you and any information about you. And that's why let's play a game «Guess who is this?» You have a piece of paper on your desks. Please, write your name and surname. Your task is – divide it into two parts. At the first part two things which you like. Start like this – I like…. At the second part write two or three things which you don't like.
