Тема: My house

Мета:

  • Активізувати вивчені ЛО з теми уроку;

Обладнання: картки настрою, картинки зображення меблів, текст для аудіювання, мультимедійна презентація

 

Хід уроку

І. Організаційний момент. Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you today. How are you? To answer this question listen to a song.

1. Warm up.            Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

2. Listen to the song “How are you today?”

3. Вправа «Настрій».On your desks you have different smiles. Choose one and greet each other. I’m happy. And you?

 So I see you are ready for the work and you are in a good mood.

Aim. Today we’ll speak about the house, revise the vocabulary, listen to the text, sing a song, do a lot of different tasks,.

 

II. Основна частина уроку.

1. Фонетична зарядка. Phonetic drill:

T. At first, we must repeat some sounds to speak about our house.

2. Мовна  зарядка.

T. Where do you live? (In a house or in a flat?)

Is your flat/house big?

How many rooms are there?

T. What rooms are there in this house?

3. Vocabulary review.               Лексична розминка “Guess the room”.

 

  1.         There is a big bath near the wall. The toilet is in the right corner. There is a mirror above the basin. I like to wash here and to take a bath.

2.   There is a big TV in the middle of the room. The sofa and armchairs are small and soft. There is a coffee table in the room. There is a big window and white curtains on it. I like to read and watch TV here.

  1.         There is a large bed in the middle of the room. There is a red carpet on the floor. The wardrobe is brown. There is a pillow on the bed. There are two lamps on the bedside tables. I can sleep here.

4. There is a large table in the middle of the room. There is a fridge with different food here. There is a microwave and a cooker in the room. There are a lot of plates, cups, knives and forks on the shelf. I can eat and drink here.

 

  1. Пісня “Bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen”.  Let’s sing a song to practice the names of the rooms.

 

  1. Remember the names of the furniture. To speak about the house we must revise the names of the furniture.

     Let’s check!

   6. Put the letters in these words in the right order and find out the words on the topic “My house”. Who wants to go to the blackboard?

7. Language work. “Betty’s house”. Work in pairs.

  1. Write the number in the right circle.
  2. Answer the questions:
  • What rooms are there in Betty’s house?

8. Физкультхвилинка. Are you tired? Let’s do some exercises! Watch, listen and do!

9. Grammar review. Prepositions of place. (presentation) To describe a house you have to know the prepositions of place. Let’s revise them and do the task.

 

Look at the picture and fill in the preposition.

  1. THE ARMCHAIR IS....THE WINDOW.                                              
  2. THE TV IS .....THE SOFA.
  3. 3.THERE IS A MAT ... THE FLOOR IN THE BATHROOM.
  4. THERE ARE TWO BEDS … THE BEDROOM.
  5. THE DESK IS .....THE BEDS.
  6. THE FRIDGE IS…THE TABLE.

10. Situation. Моделювання ситуації.

Some days ago I bought a big house. Here it is. There are two floors in my house. I bought all the furniture, but I don’t know where to put it to make my room comfortable. I invited you to help me. Why? I know you are the best designers. Will you help me to furnish the rooms?

I want you to join into groups.

11. Make three groups according to the cards.

What rooms have you got?

Furnish the rooms, please, and be ready to describe them. Don’t forget about the prepositions and there is, there are constructions. You have 5 min.

Come to the front and describe your room, please.

 

12. Listening.

One room is left. Now listen to the text and answer the question “What kind of room is it?”

Now take your pencils. Listen to the text and draw all the furniture in the study.

This room is my favourite one. I work there much. There is a desk at the window. There is a computer on the desk. Next to the computer there is a lamp. The painting is over the computer. The chair is at the desk.

Next to the desk there is a large bookcase with a lot of interesting books. Near the opposite wall there is a sofa where I like to sit and read books. There is a big flower tree at the sofa. There is a small carpet on the floor.

 

T. I’ve got a comfortable house. I like it very much. How lovely and wonderful it is. Do you like it?  Thank you for your help. You’re the best designers in the world.

 

13. Reflexion. “A sheet of smiles”.

I suggest you to fill in the “Sheet of smiles”. Go to the blackboard, find your name and match the smile to evaluate our lesson. What do you think about your work at the lesson?
