The subject: Cinema. Writing a review of a film.
The objectives:
- to revise the vocabulary to the, topic "Types of films revise the adjectives for describing films;
- to practice in speaking about pupils' favourite actors, actresses, films; in listening, giving a talk, asking and giving information about cultural notes, discussing people, process according to the topic;
- to develop pupils' listening and speaking skills and enrich the vocabulary;
- to inoculate the love to the world of cinematography.

- Good morning, pupils. Take your seats, get ready for the lesson.

- Today we have a little unusual lesson because we have got some guests.

- Let's start our lesson. As you see the topic of our today's lesson is Cinema films —the most beautiful invention of mankind"
Today "we are going to revise to topic "Types of films", learn something new and speak about your favourite actor or actresses, film, and write a review of a film.
ll. Warming up
Going to the cinema, watching home video, television are the most popular ways of relaxation.
Read, please, and translate these expressions about cinema and films.

1. Vocabulary. 'Types of films".
We are to brush up a certain portion of topical vocabulary we'll need in our further work. Let's do it in such a way. Here I have some cards with types of films. Some pupils will read and explain to us what type of film it is.

Films
1. A documentary — film showing some aspects of real human, social activity.
2. A science fiction film — film showing consequences of human technical, scientific progress.
3. A serial — story appearing in parts on TV.
4. A screen version — film shot on the novel, short opera etc.
5. A cartoon — cinema film, made by photographing series of drawing. 6. A commercial — film made for commercial advertisement in the programmes.
7. A feature film — imaginary events to show some aspects of human and animal live.
8. A romance — love story, staged in romantic background.
9. An adventure — film, which has an elaborate plot full of unpredictable turns and danger.
10. A thriller — an adventure film of a hard-hit type usually the stress lies on fights and murders.
11. A horror film — film that is intended to make you feel frightening, for example, one in which people get attacked by strange creatures or in which dead people come to life.
12. An action film — film that has a lot of exciting events in it, for example, people fighting or chasing each other in cars.
13. A comedy — film showing life in a humorous or satirical events.
14. A detective film — film with a detective intrigue.
15. A western film — film dealing with life of the Frontier in the times of the wars, with the American Indians, cowboys, rustlers etc.

There you have a story about an animated cartoon.
Traditionally cantoons are drawn by teams of animators. That's very expensive and takes long time. These days more and more animations are done by computers.
"Monster Inc" was a successful Disney computer animation film in 2001. It was nominated for best animated film at the 2001 Acadamy Awards. Although it didn't win the best film award, it won the category for best song.
