Компетенції:

Освітня: актуалізація і закріплення знань, умінь і навиків по темі «Подорож»; вчення різним видам діяльності (читання, лист, монологічне мовлення, аудірованіє) відповідно до поставленого комунікативного завдання.

Розвиваюча: розвивати вимовні навики, навики монологічного мовлення, навики аудірованія з розумінням загального вмісту; читання з повним розумінням, листи; розвивати мовну здогадку і уяви, творче мислення, пам'ять; розвивати навики роботи з опорами.

Виховна: виховувати пошану до культури країни мови, що вивчається; підвищувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови, виховувати культуру мовного спілкування, шанобливого відношення один до одного, уміння уважне слухати співбесідника, працювати в групах.

Обладнання: комп'ютер, відеопроектор, екран, мультимедіа презентація, роздавальний матеріал (завдання по аудірованію, читанню, кросворд), ілюстрації з пам'ятками
 

Хід уроку

I.Организационно-мотивационый етап.

 – Good morning, my dear pupils. I’m glad to see you today. Look at each other and please, smile. I hope we’ll have an interesting lesson and all of you will work very hard as usual and you will get a lot of useful knowledge today. So, let’s begin our lesson.

II. Постановка мети уроку.

– First of all, I want you answer my questions.

Do you like travelling? Have you ever been to any foreign countries? What countries? What interesting did you see there? Who went there with you? What country would you like to visit? Why? And what do you remember when you hear words Great Britain?

– Thank you very much, you are right. But I think you have already guessed the theme of our lesson. (Відповіді учнів про тему уроку)) – You are right again. But today we’ll speak about Travelling to London. Well, welcome to our trip.

– Now, please, look at the screen and see a wonderful film “Top 10 travel attractions in London”.But be attentive, please, because after watching you will have to do some tasks. Take this sheet of paper, look through it. You can see 10 pictures and 10 word combinations. You have to match them.It’s your task after watching the film.

– You are good pupils and my next question. What must we do before travelling anywhere? I hope you have known some rules for travelers. What are they?

– But tell me, please, who lives there? You are right, the Queen of The UK. And what’s your name?

– OK, you will see a presentation “10 interesting facts about Elizabeth II”. Listen and see very attentively. After watching it you will answer some of my questions.

  • How many children has the Queen got? (4)
  • Who taught her? (Her father did).
  • When did she meet her future husband? (When she was 8.)
  • What did she like reading? (Detective stories)
  • Has she got a passport?(No, she hasn’t)

Millions of Londoners and tourists visit Royal Parks which were once used only by kings or queens and their court; these days they are open to everyone. Parks provide perfect opportunities for fun, recreation and healthy living in the heart of the capital.

The northern part of central London is famous for Regent’s park (officially The Regent’s Park). Regent’s park is a delight. It has several gardens with more than 30,000 roses of 400 varieties, a boating lake (with herons and ducks), an open air theatre, children’s playgrounds and sports pitches.

A large variety of sports are played in the park including tennis, netball, cricket, softball, hockey, Australian football and rugby. The sports pitches and athletics tracks are available to hire. The park was scheduled to play a significant role in 2012 Summer Olympics, hosting baseball and softball, but those sports have been dropped from Olympic programme. However, the cycling road race cut through Regent’s Park.

The north-east corner of Regent’s Park has been home to London Zoo since 1828. The Zoo plays an important part in animal conservation and research and helps to protect rare species. It houses about 5,000 animals – everything from giraffes and tigers to alligators.

Regent’s Park was designed by Crown Architect John Nash in 1811 for Prince Regent (later King George IV). The park was first opened to the general public in 1845, initially for two days a week. Now the park is open from 5 am until dusk all year round.
