Topic (тема) : Great Britain and Ukraine (Великобританія та Україна)

Objectives (мета) :

навчальна : активізувати та закріпити вивчений лексико-граматичний матеріал, удосконалювати вміння та навички аудіювання, читання, письма, усного мовлення; формувати в учнів комунікативну компетенцію; закріплювати теперішній доконаний час та вживання артикля з географічними назвами у контексті даної теми;
розвиваюча : мотивувати готовність брати участь в іншомовному спілкуванні; розвивати різні типи пам’яті – слухову, зорову, увагу, уяву; учити логічно висловлювати думку; розвивати усні комунікативні уміння з опорою на наочність, розвивати соціокультурну компетенцію;
виховна : виховувати уміння сконцентруватись, слухати інших, формувати доброзичливу атмосферу в класі; виховувати зацікавленність у розширенні своїх знань, скріплення навчального матеріалу з життям; виховувати загальну культуру учнів, толерантність один до одного.

Equipment (обладнання) : підручники, робочі зошити, презентація до уроку, карта Великої Британії, картки з символами Великої Британії.

Aim 2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T : Today we are going to remind everything we know about Great Britain and Ukraine. We`ll play games, read the texts, listen to the text, do interesting grammar exercises. So, let`s start our lesson.

T : So, let`s divide into two teams. We`ll play a quiz “What we know about Great Britain and Ukraine”. So,the first row ist the first team and the second row is the second team. I`ll read the questions and you must unswer them. At first I read for the first team, it gives the answer. If the answer is wrong the second team can also answer the questions. For every right answer I`ll give a penny. At the end of the lesson we`ll count all pennies and find out the winner.

So, let`s start our game.

How many countries are in the UK? What are they? (There are 4 countries in the UK. They are : England, Scotland, Wales, Nothern Ireland)
What is the capital of England? (London is the capital of England)
What is the capital of Scotland? (Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland)
What is the capital of Wales? (Cardiff is the capital of Wales)
What is the capital of Northen Ireland? (Belfast is the capital of Northen Ireland)
What is the name of the national flag of the UK? (the Union Jack)
What are the national simbols of Ukraine?
What is the name of the National Coat of Arms of Ukraine? (The Trident)
What are the colours of the National flag of Ukraine? (The National flag of Ukraine is blue and yellow)
What means the blue colour at Ukrainian flag? (Blue colour means clear blue sky)
What means the yellow colour at Ukrainian flag? (Yellow colour means golden weat fields)
And the last task : divide this cards into 5 coutries with it`s capital, flag and symbol.

Grammar 2. Подання грамаичного матеріалу :

Presentation Present Perfect Tense

(теперішній доконаний час).

T : Now take your places at the computers and look at the table attantive. Let`s remember how the Present Perfect Tense is build and what it means.

What does the Present Perfect mean? When do we use the Present Perfect?

How is the affirmative form built? How is negative form built? How is interrogative form built?

Now let`s do an exercise.

Open your exercise-books and write down the day and the date. What day is it today? What date is it today?

In this exercise you mustput the verbs in brackets into Present Perfect Tense.

Pavlo Chubinsky and Mykhailo Verbytsky ……(to write) the Ukrainian Anthem.
What animals ……(to live) in the Ukrainian steppes?
There ….(to be) many wild animals in Ukraine.
