Тема: Погода

Мета: Розширити словниковий запас учнів, поглибити знання з теми, навчати учнів  лексиці з теми, вчити вживати вивчену лексику в усному та писемному мовленні. Розвивати навички говоріння, читання, письма, розвивати мовну здогадку, пам’ять, увагу, логічне та творче мислення учнів. Виховувати ввічливість, взаємоповагу та взаємодопомогу.

Обладнання: підручники О. Карп’юк, презентація Power Point, карта світу

Хід уроку

1. Greeting

T: Good morning, children! How are you getting on?

Ps: We are very well, thank you

T: Today’s topic is “Weather”.(slide 1)

2. Warm-up

1) T: What words do you associate with the topic of our lesson “Seasons and weather”?

Ps: winter, sunny, windy, summer.

Teacher shows flashcards with season, pupils name them (slide 2)

2) Riddles (slide 3)

•         Birds are chirping
Flowers are blooming
Catch your kite, where it is going (spring)

•         Look there’s rainbow in the sky
Clouds are moving high n high
Hold umbrella, wear raincoats
Enjoy the season, sail some boats (autumn)

•         Days are long n nights are short
Whole day feel hot and hot
Lets jump to the pool
Enjoy something cool n cool (summer)

•         Cold days chilling nights
Hot coffee add in your diet
Socks, mittens, scarves, jackets
Keep everything in your packets (winter)

3. Reading

Ex. 2 p85

1) Discussion

T: What can you see on the pictures?

What are the kids’ names?

Do you know where they are from?

2) Reading

T: Read the kids’ blogs about the climate in their countries. Find the places on the map.

Pupils read the texts orally one by one. Then some pipilsgo to the map and show the country they read about.

2) Post-reading

a) T: Say if the sentences true or false (slide 4)

• It often snows in Canada
• Ben never ski and skate
• It is cold in Brazil because it often rains.
• It often snows in Ukraine in winter.
• Arhaan wear sunglasses.
• In India rains very much.

б) T: Say what the climate is like in different parts of the world. (slide 5)

4. Speaking

Ex.4 p 85

T: Say what you usually do when it is: sunny and hot / cold and snowy / wet and chilly.( slides 6-8)

5. Writing

T: Write about the climate in Ukraine. Use the example on the slide (slide 9)

6. Summary

7. Homework

Write about the climate in the place you live.
