The subject: Invitation on the party
The aim: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able to make up sentences about celebrating birthday party
The objectives:
-apply the vocabulary of the topic in given situations
-motivate pupils to study English ;
- develop skills of memory, collaboration, critical thinking
- bring up respectful attitude to friends.
The equipment: multimedia system, worksheets, envelopes with cards.
The procedure of the lesson
I. The introductory part.
Pupils stand in a circle. They pass a ball saying each other :
-Hello, how are you?
- I’m fine, thank you(OK, Super, Happy…)
1.2.Warming up:
T: - Do you like holidays?
-What holidays do you know?
-What can you do on holidays ?
Lets write these actions on the blackboard( pupils go and write)
-What is your favourite holiday and why?
Lets have an interview. P1 is a famous person . He is a famous singer. Ask him questions about his holiday( 2-3 pupils are interviewed as famous persons)
1.3.Phonetic drills
Betty Botter bought some butter
But she said the butter’s bitter
But a bit of better butter would make my butter better
II The main part of the lesson
Activisation of the material
T:Today I invite you to the party. It will be birthday party of my friend. To get to the party you should do some tasks.
First , look at this way of transport. What is this? Yes , you are right. This is a train . But this train is not usual. It is magic. You should fill it with the unusual passengers – with the words. Every car has its wagon. The first car answers the question: What? You have words in the envelops on your desks. Open them . Work in groups of three. Choose in groups , captains can come and stick to the wagon.
Tha next one answes the question what to do . So find and stick the actions.
The next wagon can answer When. Find and stick the words.
And the last wagon can answer the question when
Now you can read different sentences. Let’s read different sentences. Every team choose one sentence you like the best and write it. These sentences will be the names of your direction.
Look at the presentation and answer:
What can you do on the birthday party?
What do you like to do the best?
It can be celebrated in the open air and inside?
Let’s consider the differences
Interviewing; What do you like more?
Complete the sentence: I like to celebrate birthday party …..(in the garden/ in the house) because there I can…..,……,……But in both of them I can….,….,…….
