Тема:  DO YOU LIKE TRAVELLING?

Мета:   

- формувати вміння відтворювати раніше засвоєний матеріал на достатньому рівні;

- розвивати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення з опорою на зразок;

- здійснювати відпрацювання лексико - граматичного матеріалу в писемному та усному мовленні;

- тренувати учнів в складанні оповідання за темою уроку з опорою на план, формувати вміння працювати в парах, самостійно;

- розвивати вміння орієнтуватися в потоці різноманітної інформації, робити власні висновки з теми, аргументувати їх;

- виховувати організованість, доброзичливість, взаємодопомогу.

Роздатковий матеріал: Малюнки видів транспорту, картки з завданням для роботи у парах, самостійно, картки із  деформованими реченнями, картки – презентація, запис пісні, дидактичні ігри.

  • Today we are going to speak about interesting theme. What is it you’ll tell then listen to the poem.

Travelling

On the move, on the move, millions of people are on the move.

On the road, on the road, thousands of cars are on the road.

In the sky, in the sky, hundreds of planes quickly fly.

By train or bus, by plane or car people like travelling very far.

  • So what’s the theme of our lesson?
  • We are going to speak how people travel, why do they travel, with whom and do they like it or not?

ІІ.     MAIN PART

  1. Speaking

(pictures of transport are at the blackboard)

  • Look at the board you see some kinds of transport without them we can’t to travel. (Presentation  “Transport”)
  • Let’s name it all together. Repeat after me three times:

car-car-car,  bus-bus-bus, bike-bike-bike

 tram-tram-tram, ship-ship-ship, boat-boat-boat…

  • Your task will be next: at the board you see three columns- put these words in the right place (choose the card and put it)

  • Tell me please, what’s the fastest way of traveling?
  • What is the most comfortable?

  1. Interesting facts about London transport

A. London Buses

 London buses are called double-deckers. They have a driver and a conductor. When you get on the bus, the conductor says, "Fares, please." You say where you want to go, he tells you how much to pay, you pay him and he gives you a ticket. Keep it till the end of your trip!

 

B. London Underground (Tube)

The London Underground or Tube is the oldest and the largest in the world. There are many lines on the London Underground. All the lines are of a different color on the map. Today the Tube has over 406 kilometres of lines and 275 stations.

 

C. Taxi

If you are in a hurry, the fastest way of travelling is by-taxi. Their special shape and black color are famous all over the world. The black cabs as they are called have become the symbol of London. Now the taxi drivers have their cabs in different colors - red, green, even silver. London drivers even have green badges on their jackets.

4. Presentation “How and why people travel?”

- You know that some people like to travel and some not. How do they travel and why they do it?

5.  Game “Policeman”

- Let’s play a game. Imagine that everyone of you has a nice new car- BMW, Macerate, Ford… you must to know the rules on the street. If you see green- you will go, if you see- red- you’ll stop and answer the policeman’s questions.

You’ll start like this:

Policeman: - Hello! My name is ________.

Pupil- driver: -Hello! I’m ______________.

P: -Do you like to travel?

P-d: - Yes, I do. I like to travel by _________ train / No, I don’t /.

  • Where does Mr. Parker work?

  • How does he get there?
  • By bus.
  • How long does it take him to get there?
  • Forty minutes.

Girls write down about Mr. Tame/bank/by car/half an hour.

Boys- Miss Alison/school/by underground/25 minutes.
