It’s morning at the backstage

Mouse: I’m a Little Mouse. I never say “Good morning” and “Good night”

Animals: We don’t want to be your friend. We don’t want to play with you. We don’t want to give you berries.

They turn away from Mouse

Mouse: Oh! I’m sad! I have no friends. I am so sad! Oh, Hedgy, what can I do?

Hedgehog:  You should say “Good morning” and “Good night”. Everybody will make friends with you!

Mouse: Oh! It’s so easy! … Hares! Hares! Good morning, Father Hare! Good morning, Mother Hare! Good morning, Baby Hare!

Mother Hare: Good morning, Little Mouse! Nice to meet you! Take a carrot, please!

Mouse: Oh! Thank you! … Squirrels! Squirrels! Good morning, Father Squirrel! Good morning, Mother Squirrel! Good morning, Baby Squirrel!

Father Squirrel: Good morning, Little Mouse! Nice to meet you! Take a nut, please!

Mouse: Thank you, Squirrels! …. Hedgehogs! Good morning! Nice to meet you!

Hedgehog: Nice to meet you, Little Mouse! Take this tasty strawberry!

Mouse: Thank you, thank you, Hedgy! ..Good morning! Nice to meet you! Good morning! Glad to see you!

Good morning fathers! Good morning mothers!

Good morning sisters! Good morning brothers!

I say “Good morning!” to all of you!

I say “Good morning”! I’m glad to see you!

Oh! I’m so tired!.. what is this? It’s a big tree! The Forest Owl lives here! I can climb! (starts climbing)

Cloud appears

Mouse: Good morning, Cloud!

Cloud: Good morning, Little Mouse!

Plane flies

Mouse: Good morning, Plane!

Plane: Good morning, Little Mouse!

Backstage changes for night

Mouse: At last I’m on the top! Good morning, Forest Owl!

Owl: Good night, Little Mouse! Look around! It’s night! It’s time to say “Good night!”

Mouse: Oh! Good night, Forest Owl!

Owl: You are so nice, Little Mouse! You are kind and polite now! Sit down on my back! I’ll bring you to your mother!

Mouse: Thank you, Forest Owl! Let’s go home!

They fly away
