Тема: “Sport in Our Life” (Спорт у нашому житті)
Мета: Формування предметних компетентностей: повторити та активізувати лексичні одиниці, ввести та активізувати нові ЛО, сприяти удосконаленню навичок читання, письма, говоріння та аудіювання.
Формування ключових компетентностей:
- Спілкування іноземною мовою: формувати вміння сприймати мову на слух, прищеплювати інтерес учнів до вивчення іноземних мов; добувати і опрацьовувати інформацію з різних (друкованих та цифрових, зокрема аудіовізуальних) джерел, критично осмислювати її, використовувати в усній та письмовій комунікації для обстоювання власних поглядів, переконань, суспільних і національних цінностей
- Соціальна і громадянська компетентності: формувати уміння висловлювати власну думку, слухати і чути інших, співпрацювати в команді, виділяти та виконувати власну роль в командній роботі;
- Екологічна грамотність і здорове життя: виховувати усвідомлення важливості занять спортом як складової здорового способу життя;
- Інноваційність: розвиток в учнів здатності створювати власні проекти, вміння працювати на різних освітніх платформах;
- Соціальні і громадянські компетентності: сформувати готовність до взаємодії та досягнення взаєморозуміння з представниками певної культури;
- Уміння вчитися впродовж життя: відбирати й застосовувати потрібні знання та способи діяльності для досягнення цієї мети.
Методи і прийоми навчання: словесні ( розповідь, пояснення, евристична бесіда, робота з підручником, навчальна дискусія); наочні (демонстрування, ілюстрування); практичні (практичні вправи, дидактичні ігри).
Матеріально-технічне забезпечення: презентація «Sport», ментальні карти «Mind-Map Sports», підручник, робочий зошит, дидактичний (роздатковий) матеріал, унаочнення (малюнки видів спорту), технічні засоби навчання, добірка аудіозаписів.

Т: Today we have an interesting topic of our lesson. It is “Sport”. We’ll do a lot of work today:
- write exercises;
- talk about different kinds of sport;
-revise some grammar;
-read the text about sport;
-listen to the presentation about Ukrainian famous sportsmen.
Today we are going to speak about sport in our life. We’ll remember the names of different sports and games and discuss the importance of sports in our every day life.
The motto of our lesson is “There is no glory in practice, but without practice, there is no glory… ”

Andriy Shevchenko (football)
Andriy Shevchenko is a Ukrainian footballer who plays for Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukraine national team as a striker. He is the third-highest scorer in the history of European club competition with 63 goals. The most prestigious of Andriy’s awards were the Golden Ball and the UEFA Champions League in 2003 with Milan.
Liliya Podkopayeva (gymnastics)
Liliya Podkopayeva is the 1996 Olympic all-around champion. She is widely regarded as one of the best gymnasts in history. She is the proud owner of 45 gold, 21 silver and 14 bronze medals.
Sergey Bubka (pole vaulting)
Serhiy Bubka is six times world champion (between 1983 and 1997), European champion in 1986 and Olympic champion in 1988. He broke the world record for men's pole vaulting 35 times. He was the first to clear 6.0 metres and the first and only to clear 6.10 metres (20 ft). He holds the current outdoor world record of 6.14 metres in 1994 in Italy and the current indoor world record of 6.15 meters, set in 1993 in Donetsk, Ukraine.
Yana Klochkova (swimming)
Yana Klochkova is a Ukrainian swimmer, who has won five Olympic medals. 4 gold medals came in the 200 meter individual medley and the 400 meter individual medley at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. Her silver medal came in the 800 meter freestyle at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Vasyl Virastyuk (strongman)
Vasyl Virastyuk is a strongman competitor from Ukraine. He competed in the finals of the World’s Strongest Man contest in 2003 (3rd place) and 2004 (1st place). As well he won the 2007 IFSA Strongman World Championship.
Olena Kostevych (shooting)
Olena Kostevych is a pistol shooter from Chernihiv, Ukraine. At the age of 17, Kostevych won the 10 m Air Pistol event at the 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships. She followed this with a victory in the 2003 ISSF World Cup Final, and an Olympic gold medal at the 2004 Olympics. At the 2012 Olympics in London Olena Kostevych won two bronze medals in 10 metre and 25 meter air pistol competitions.
Khotin Evgen (military-sports all-round athlete)
Khotin Evgen, the student of Chernigiv Military Lyceum, is the World Champion in Military-Sports All-Round. He got his gold medal in Kharkiv (2012). Besides, he has many other medals and awards. Khotin Evgen is the Candidate for Master of Sport.
Mekhed Alexander (kickboxing)
Mekhed Alexander is the student of Chernigiv Military Lyceum and he is the Champion of Europe in Kickboxing. Besides, Mekhed Alexander is the Candidate for Master of Sport.
Vakulenko Dmytro (boxing)
Vakulenko Dmytro, the student of Chernigiv Military Lyceum, has the Second Adult Rank in Boxing.
Zhmud Valentin (boxing)
Zhmud Valentin, the student of Chernigiv Military Lyceum, has the First Youth Rank in Boxing.
Korol Nikita (boxing)
Korol Nikita is the student of Chernigiv Military Lyceum and has the First Adult Rank in Boxing.
Oparij Valentin (swimming)
Oparij Valentin, the student of Chernigiv Military Lyceum, has the First Adult Rank in Swimming.

T: Now we can see how sporty you are, and that is really wonderful! Thanks a lot. You were fantastic. So, we’ve already revised the names of our famous representatives of our region and country, and now let's dwell on different sports. So, what sports do you know? I'd like to know how well logically you think. Now, please, work in groups of four. On the sheets of paper you can see four names of groups under certain color, to each of them one can choose one of sports or another. Think of words which you associate with the group in “Mind-Map”. Discuss it in your group. You have two minutes.

Т: So, what did you like in our today’s lesson?
S1: I like to work in a group and guess a sportsmen.
T: Sport keeps a person fit and healthy. But what is your own attitude to sport? May be it has changed after our lesson. So, tell us, please.
S1: Sport plays an important role in my life because, somehow, it is a style of life. It helps me be energetic, quick, it brings me the feeling of competition and victory (sometimes defeat, but just to see the difference).
S2: Sport stimulates our body, spirit, health and mood. Sport helps us achieve small and big victories, and the more we practise, the more victories we gain. Sport is motion, motion is life and life is the most valuable thing we could ever have.
S3: My attitude to sport is negative, because I consider it a waste of time. Instead of practising sport I can easily go to the night club and spend time jumping and dancing that can replace any sport.
S4: As for me, sport is a perfect way to lose weight, grow muscles, spend a good sum of money and perspire heavily.
