на методичну розробку практичного заняття з англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням на тему: «Студент та його оточення»

 

Методична розробка складена викладачем англійської мови, англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням, спеціалістом вищої категорії Новгород – Сіверського медичного училища Довгорук Ларисою Петрівною на основі навчальної програми з  «Англійської мови  за професійним спрямуванням» для вищих медичних (фармацевтичних) навчальних закладів I – III рівнів акредитації, затвердженої Міністерством охорони здоров’я України в 2011 році.

Тема розробки є актуальною, тому що дозволяє студентам першого курсу узагальнити професійно – орієнтований лексичний матеріал з таких тем як: «Іноземна мова та її значення в суспільстві», «Моя біографія», «Моє рідне місто/село», «Моя майбутня професія», «Флоренс Найтінгейл», «Я – студент – медик», «Мій робочий день», «Мій медичний коледж», «Медична освіта в Україні», «Тибетська медицина», закріпити вивчений граматичний матеріал (означений і неозначений артиклі, множина іменників, особові, присвійні, заперечні, неозначені та кількісні займенники, ступені порівняння прикметників, кількісні та порядкові числівники, прийменники) і наблизитися до практичного повсякденного мовлення англійців, де вищевказані теми та граматичні структури є широковживаними.

Мета розробки – систематизувати та поглибити знання студентів з теми «Студент та його оточення»; викликати в студентів зацікавленість до вивчення запропонованої теми.

Методична розробка має велике значення в підготовці кваліфікованого робітника, адже становлення особистості, на сучасному етапі реформування вищої освіти, залежить від рівня володіння іноземною мовою, зокрема англійською. Саме тому різноманітний спектр тем заняття сприяє формуванню комунікативної, творчої та конкурентоспроможної особистості майбутніх фахівців, виховує людину нового часу, людину – освічену, нове покоління працівників, яке адаптується в умовах ринку й стає його активним учасником.

Створене навчальне середовище сприяє розвитку лінгвістичного, медичного мислення студентів та формуванню навичок співробітництва. Інформація  заняття  має пізнавальний характер, розширює світогляд студентів як майбутніх спеціалістів. Будучи  медичними працівниками, та маючи комунікативні  здібності з англійської мови, студенти повинні вміти формулювати й аргументовано доводити власну  думку, брати активну участь у суспільному житті.

       З конспекту заняття та презентації до неї видно, що заняття продумане і добре сплановане; за формою проведення є підсумковим. Викладач виділяє структуру заняття, яка відповідає його сучасним вимогам. Тема і мета  визначені, передбачена комплексна реалізація практичної, розвиваючої, виховної та освітньої цілей, спостерігається  інтеграція з дисциплінами гуманітарного циклу. Основним завданням викладача на занятті є створення умов студентам для самостійної роботи при виконанні отриманих завдань, що стимулює пізнавальну діяльність студентів, займає більшу частину заняття і є високим показником заняття.

Для підтримання інтересу до заняття, викладач проводить фізичну розминку, використовує  парну роботу та роботу в малих групах, що підвищує навчальну мотивацію у студентів, значно знижує рівень тривожності у студентів та дозволяє постійно підтримувати активність і увагу студентів.

З представленого матеріалу видно професіоналізм викладача, який володіє інноваційними технологіями і вміло застосовує інтерактивні методи і форми навчання, що відповідають індивідуальним особливостям студентів.

     Заняття насичене необхідним для роботи обладнанням, наочністю, дидактичним та роздатковим матеріалом. Матеріал заняття пов'язаний з темою, спостерігається логічна відповідність між темою  і вибором завдань. Слайдова презентація містить весь необхідний практичний матеріал, що дозволяє підсилити наочне уявлення поданого матеріалу та оптимально збільшити його темп.

      За структурою  методична розробка складена відповідно до методичних рекомендацій проведення відкритих занять Новгород-Сіверського медичного училища, передбачає усі його етапи: підготовчий, основний, заключний.

Позитивним  у даній методичній розробці є творчий підхід до підготовки матеріалу заняття, використання різноманітних джерел інформації, застосування інтерактивних методів проведення заняття, технічних засобів навчання, залучення студентів до самостійної пошукової роботи; поєднання окремих елементів навчання та виховання в єдину цілісну систему.

Матеріал методичної розробки практичного заняття з англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням «Студент та його оточення» рекомендовано для викладачів вищих медичних навчальних закладів I-III рівнів акредитації під час підготовки і проведення занять з даної теми.

T H E  R E V I E W

of the methodical work of the practical class of the English language for

health professionals on the theme «A student and his surrounding»

 

The methodical work is created by Dovhoruk Larysa Petrivna, the teacher of the English language and the English language for health professionals, the specialist of the higher category of Novhorod – Siverskyy medical school according to the basis of the academic programme «The English language for the health professionals » for the higher establishments of the I-III levels of accreditation. This programme was confirmed by the Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine in 2011.

The theme of the work is actual because it allows the first – year students to generalized the professionally – indicative lexical material of such themes as «A foreign language and its role in the society », « My biography», «My native town/village», « My future profession»,

« Florence Nightingale», «I am a student of the medical school», «My medical college»,

 « Medical education in Ukraine», « Tibetan medicine», to master the studied grammatical material

 (the definite and indefinite articles, the plural of Nouns, the degrees of Adjectives, the personal, possessive, negative, indefinite and quantitative Pronouns, the ordinal and cardinal Numerals, the Prepositions); helps students achieve practical everyday English speaking where the pointed themes and the grammatical structures are widely used.

The aim of the work is to systematize and deepen students' knowledge of the theme «A student and his surrounding»; to evoke the students' interest concerning this theme.

The methodical work plays an important role in the preparation of the qualified worker because the personality development depends on the level of the possession of a foreign language, particular English, on the modern stage of the higher education reformation. That’s why the variety of the themes builds up a communicative, creative and competitive personality of future specialists, brings up a modern and an educated person, a new generation of the workers who can tune themselves to the conditions of the market and become its active participant.

The created educational environment develops students' linguistic and medical thinking, forms skills of the collaboration. The information of the paper has a cognitive character, extends the students' outlook as future specialists. Being medical workers and having English communicative capabilities students must formulate and fully prove their own points of view, take an active part in the public life.

The material and presentation of the work prove that the practical class is careful thought out and well – planned; the type of the class is the summarizing class. The teacher distinguishes the structure of the class which follows its modern demands. We notice the given theme and the aim of the class, the complex realization of practical, developing, bringing up and educational tasks, the integration with the disciplines of the humanitarian cycle. The main task of the teacher is to create the conditions for the students’ independent work because it stimulates their cognitive activity, occupies greater part of the class and it is the high index of the class.

For maintenance of interest concerning the class the teacher uses the physical exercises, the pair work and the work in small groups. It promotes educational students' motivation, considerably reduces the level of students’ anxiety and constantly supports the students’ attention and activity.

The presented material shows the professionalism of the teacher who is good at innovative technologies and perfectly uses interactive methods and forms of study which follow the students' individual features.

The class contains all necessary work facilities, evidentness, didactive and practical tasks. The material of the class is closely connected with the theme; there is the logical accordance between the theme and the choice of the tasks. The presentation has all necessary practical material which helps heighten the evident presentation of the given material and optimally increase its bounce.

The structure of the methodical work has been formed according to the methodical recommendations of the carrying out the open classes in Novhorod – Siverskyy medical school. It consists of the preparatory, main and final stages.

The methodical work includes the creative approach to the preparation of the material, the use of different sources of information, interactive methods and technical means of conducting of the class, the students' searching independent work; combination of the elements of education and upbringing for creating the whole system.

The material of the methodical work of the practical double period of the English language for the health professionals «A student and his surrounding» is recommended to the teachers of the higher medical establishments of the I-III levels of accreditation for their practical activity.

Матеріал методичної розробки відображає зміст відкритого практичного підсумкового заняття з англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням. Методична розробка складена викладачем англійської мови та англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням, спеціалістом вищої категорії Новгород – Сіверського медичного училища Довгорук Ларисою Петрівною на основі навчальної програми з «Англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням» для вищих медичних (фармацевтичних) навчальних закладів I – III рівнів акредитації, затвердженої Міністерством охорони здоров’я України в 2011 році.

Тема «Студент та його оточення » є важливою для вивчення, бо виховує у студентів почуття відповідальності до обраної спеціальності, повагу та любов до англійської мови, культури народу, який розмовляє цією мовою; розуміння важливості оволодіння англійською мовою і потреби користуватися нею у професійній діяльності; формує такі риси характеру, як доброзичливість, гуманізм, толерантність, працьовитість та самостійність.

В методичній розробці дана загальна характеристика теми, розкрита мета її вивчення, описано послідовність та порядок проведення.

Виявленню творчого потенціалу студентів сприяють вдало застосовані сучасні інтерактивні методи і форми роботи.

Методична розробка рекомендована для використання в практичній діяльності для викладачів вищих медичних навчальних закладів I-III рівнів акредитації.

The methodical work has a general characteristic of the theme and its aim; it also reflects the order and sequence of the practical realization.

Different kinds of methods and forms of the work help reveal the creative potentiality of the students.

The methodical work is recommended to the teachers of the higher medical establishments of the I-III levels of accreditation for their practical activity.

АКТУАЛЬНІСТЬ ЗАНЯТТЯ: проведення даного практичного заняття дозволить студентам узагальнити,систематизувати та закріпити вивчений професійно – орієнтований лексико – граматичний матеріал з предмету «Англійська мова за професійними спрямуванням» за перший навчальний семестр; дасть можливість студентам перевірити отримані знання з вивчених тем «Іноземна мова та її значення в суспільстві», «Моя біографія», «Моє рідне місто/село», «Моя майбутня професія», « Флоренс Найтінгейл», «Я – студент – медик», «Мій робочий день», «Мій медичний коледж», «Медична освіта в Україні», «Тибетська медицина» приймаючи активну участь в різних видах інтерактивної діяльності; дозволить студентам закріпити отриманні граматичні знання та вміння (означений і неозначений артиклі, множина іменників, особові, присвійні, заперечні, неозначені та кількісні займенники, ступені порівняння прикметників, кількісні та порядкові числівники, прийменники); буде сприяти розвитку в студентів мотивації, впевненості, співпраці, комунікабельності та творчості.

МЕТА:

Практична: вдосконалювати навички фонетичної вимови студентів; повторити вивчений професійно-орієнтований лексико-граматичний мінімум; формувати навички монологічного та діалогічного мовлення студентів на рівні мікровисловлювання; практикувати студентів у читанні текстів та виконанні післятекстових завдань; вдосконалювати навички аудіювання та вміння студентів щодо виконання різноманітних тематичних видів діяльності; вдосконалювати аналітичні навички та вміння студентів працювати в різних режимах, парах та малих групах; практикувати студентів щодо роботи з певними ситуаціями на основі поданих граматичних структур.

Розвиваюча: розвивати мовленнєву компетенцію, творчі здібності  та психологічні якості (увагу, пам'ять, мислення, уяву) студентів; розвивати вміння студентів самостійно працювати з тематичними видами завдань; розвивати у студентів уміння переносу знань та навичок у нову ситуацію на основі здійснення проблемно – пошукової діяльності; формувати лінгвістичне мислення студентів як майбутніх фахівців; розвивати впевненість та співпрацю; формувати в студентів дружні взаємовідносини в ході виконання спільних завдань; розвивати готовність студентів до участі в спілкуванні англійською мовою та до подальшої самоосвіти в галузі володіння даною мовою.

 

 

Виховна: виховувати в студентів такі риси характеру, як доброзичливість, толерантність, ввічливість, гуманізм, активність, товариськість, самостійність, працелюбство, уважність; формувати позитивне ставлення в студентів до вивчення англійської мови, культури народу, який розмовляє цією мовою; розуміти важливість оволодіння англійською мовою і потребую користуватися нею в професійній діяльності; формувати в студентів повагу та чемне ставлення до обраної спеціальності; виховувати у студентів культури спілкування, прийнятої в сучасному цивілізованому світі, ціннісних орієнтацій, почуттів та емоцій.

Освітня: усвідомлення студентами суті мовних явищ, іншої системи понять, через яку може сприйматися дійсність; уміння працювати з підручником та роздатковий матеріалом.

You know I am a medical college student now. My future profession is nursing. The work of nurses is very important and necessary. Every nurse must remember that there are no two identical people and that every patient: will react to diseases in his own way. That's why each patient needs special care.

    Observations of a nurse are also very important. The nurse can see any changes in the health of her patients. Her observations will help doctors to diagnose and treat the patients. In a hospital the nurse has a lot of duties and she works in many areas: in wards, laboratories, emergency department, etc.

     In wards the nurse gives medicines, makes injections, applies cups and mustard plasters. She carries out all orders of doctors.

     Every nurse must have enough knowledge of her work, because she must help people any j of the day and night. She must take care of patients even if they have mortal infectious diseases.

The life of nurses is devoted to people; they are always responsible for what they do.

A:  Listen to me! The Pronouns’ many/little are used before countable nouns in the plural forms. The pronouns much/few are used before uncountable nouns or replace them.

Robert Koch was a German physician who is widely credited as one of the founders of bacteriology and microbiology. He investigated the anthrax disease cycle in 1876, and studied the bacterium that causes tuberculosis in 1882, and cholera in 1883. He also formulated Koch’s postulates. Koch won the 1905 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Early Life and Education

Born in 1843 in Glausthal, Germany, Robert Koch was a childhood prodigy. He taught himself to read newspapers when he was only 5. He loved to read classical literature and was a chess expert. He gained an interest in science in high school, and decided to study biology. Koch acquired his medical degree from the University of Göttingen, Germany in 1866.

Contributions and Achievements

Koch developed a strong interest in pathology and infectious diseases as a medical student. He volunteered as a military surgeon during the Franco-Prussian war (1870-72). He was appointed a district medical officer for Wollstein after the war.

His main duty as a medical officer was investigating the spread of infectious bacterial diseases. Koch was very much interested in the transmission of anthrax from cattle to humans. Koch formulated four criteria in 1890 that must be achieved for establishing a cause of an infectious disease. These rules were termed as “Koch’s postulates”.

Later Life and Death:

The medical applications of biotechnology still heavily depend on the Koch’s principles of affirming the causes of infectious diseases. Koch died in 1910 in Black Forest region of Germany. He was 66 years old.

Florence Nightingale was one of the greatest women in the history of England. She was born on May 12, 1820, in the Italian city of Florence after which she was named. Florence was highly educated woman. She spoke Italian, French and German with ease.

During her childhood and youth she was chiefly interested in taking care of poor people in her dream was to become a nurse. In her days, nursing was done only by women of the lowest moral class. In fact, when women were charged in the police courts they were given the choice of going to prison or to hospital service.

 Her parents were horrified and did all they could to prevent it, but Florence was not to be turned aside. Whenever she was abroad she visited hospitals, read books on nursing, of medical societies, histories of hospitals. She spent some weeks as a sister in a hospital in Paris and three months in a nursing school in Germany. When Florence was 34, she became superintendent of an "Establishment for Gentlewomen during Illness". She had been there a year when the Crimean War broke out. One of the hospitals where injured soldiers received treatment during the war was in a place called Scutari. That's where 39 British nurses led by Florence Nightingale arrived from London in 1854.

In less than twelve months, Florence Nightingale and her 38 nurses turned Scutari clean, well-organized hospital.

Florence Nightingale often worked for twenty-four hours on end dressing wounds, helping surgeons in their operations, easing the pain of the sick, comforting the dying. Even night, carrying a little oil lamp to light her way, she walked by the beds, four miles of them. To the soldiers she was "The Lady with the Lamp", and they worshipped her.

Florence Nightingale changed the whole system of the hospital organization of the army. She wrote books on nursing. She started the Nightingale Training School for  nurses at St. Thomas's Hospital. She changed the whole idea of hospital planning and is the founder of modern nursing.             

In 1907 she was given the Order of Merit, the highest civil honor the Government can give and the first ever given to a woman. Three years later Florence Nightingale died.
