United Kingdom & Ukraine. English Lesson – 9th Grade

Introduction. Today we will explore two countries: the United Kingdom and Ukraine. We will look at their geography, culture, traditions, and interesting facts.

The United Kingdom- Consists of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland- Capital: London- Famous for the British Royal Family, Big Ben, and red double-decker buses- Official language: English- Currency: Pound Sterling (£)

Ukraine- Located in Eastern Europe- Capital: Kyiv- Known for rich history, traditional music, and cuisine- Official language: Ukrainian- Currency: Hryvnia (₴)

Similarities and Differences. Similarities:- Both have strong cultural identities- Celebrations and national holidays. Differences:- Language and history- Political systems and traditions

Conclusion. Understanding other countries helps us become better global citizens. The UK and Ukraine are unique in their own ways, with rich culture and traditions. Let’s respect and learn from each other!
