Хід уроку:

I. Привітання. Організація класу. Повідомлення теми уроку.

1). - Good  morning, pupils! I am glad to see you. How are you today?

     Today we are going to celebrate one of the first spring holidays at our school. It is St.      Valentine’s Day. We are going to have a contest between boys and girls. So we have two teams. We will play games, sing a song, and act like real actors in the fairy tale. Let’s have fun.

2). Мовленнєва зарядка.

• But at first let’s start from the warming up:

(Учні хором повторюють вірш, записаний на дошці «Roses are red, Violets are blue..!»)

• Thank you, pupils.

II. Основна частина.

     1).  So, let’s start our contest. Are you ready?

TASK 1.

You can see some Valentine’s symbols of this day. They are (repeat after me):

a HEART, a TEDDY BEAR, a ROSE, CHOCOLATE, a CARD, a PRESENT, a CUPID.

So, I propose you to play a lexical game. Your task is to match pictures with the words as quickly as possible.

2). TASK 2  «Complete the poem».

You have to find one word which sounds the best in every poem. You have three minutes.

3). TASK 3.

       Remember all the synonyms of the word  “BEAUTIFUL”.

You have one minute.

• спочатку кожен в команді називає по одному прикметнику;
• потім один учасник з кожної команди називає всі прикметники;

  Додає фразу: «You are beautiful».

4). TASK 4.

Розвиток навиків аудіювання.

And now, listen to the song dedicated to your dearest person in the world. Whom do you love the best? Your task is to complete the song ”I Love You.”

5). TASK 5. «Sleeping Beauty»

    And now my dear we are going to see your perfect play “Sleeping Beauty” (Part I).

Story-teller: Once upon a time in a far away country there lived a King and a Queen. They were very happy. They had a new baby Princess Rosamond. The King and a Queen invited many people to a party.

King : - My good friends, we are very happy! We invited all of you to have a party.

Queen: - Yes, my friends. We are glad to see you! We invited Fairies – Pink, Blue and Green to see the Princess first.

Fairy 1: - She is so beautiful! Be always happy!

Fairy 2: - She is so wonderful! Be always healthy!

Fairy 3: - She is so lovely! Be always kind!

Story-teller: Every woman had a present for a Princess. Suddenly a Black Fairy came into the room. The King forgot to invite her.

King : Oh, Dear! We are glad to see you too.  You are welcome to see a Princess.

Black Fairy: I am very angry. And I’ve got a special gift for a Princess. At the age of 16 she will prick her finger on a spindle. She will fall asleep for hundred years. Ha-ha-ha!

Story-teller The years went by. One day Princess Rosamond was waking about the palace. She saw a woman sitting and spinning a cloth.  

Princess Rosamond: Hello. What are you doing?

Black Fairy: I am spinning a cloth. Would you like to learn how to spin?

Princess Rosamond: yes, I would. Like this? Ouch, my finger! I feel so tired and sleepy.

Black Fairy: Yes, my beauty. It is time to sleep! Ha-ha-ha!

Story-teller: So, Princess Rosamond fell asleep. The King and a Queen and every person in the Palace fell asleep. And for 100 years all the people in the Palace slept.

III. Закінчення уроку. Підведення підсумків, мотивація оцінок.
