Тема:  Дзвінок до служби порятунку Topic: Call for Help!

 

Objectives: 

-   to develop reading and listening skills 

-   to develop vocabulary related to the emergency services

-   to practise speaking skills 

-   to practise various aspects of the culture of the English-speaking world

 

Procedure

I.          Introduction 

Teacher: Good morning, pupils! How are you? Today we are going to speak about emergency services and emergency telephone numbers. Up to the end of the lesson you are to answer the question: What should people do in emergency? 

 

II.      Warming up 

Vocabulary practise – Wordlist 5d p. 166

T: Make up your own sentences 

 

III.   Main part 

T: Do you know the emergency telephone numbers in Ukraine?

1. Listening and Reading. Look at the numbers below. Do they mean anything to you? Read the text to find out what they mean.
