Class outline: 8-9 years old. 7 boys and 7 girls.
Language support materials: word cards (eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty); audio recording; toys.
Lesson aim: -learn new numbers and use them in the speech;
-count and list items;
-become familiar with grammar: “I have got a …. You`ve got a …”.
Learning outcomes. By the end of the lesson pupils will be able:
-name the new words, count (eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty);
-point to the objects;
-use in the speech language chunks: “How are you? – I am …”, “What is it? – This is a …”;
-start playing game: “Count and collect”;
-distinguish grammar constructions: “I have got a … You`ve got a …;
-ask and answer the questions.

Game “Count and correct”. Pupils play this game in teams. Say number (10-14 e.g.). One pupil from each team has to find and name this number of the same class objects, e.g. books, toys, pencils. The first pupil to do so scores a point for their team. |

Grammar explanation: “I have got a …You have got a …” Using structure in the speech. Learners name and tell each other what they have got (e.g. doll, Teddy Bear, puzzle, yo-yo). |
