Teacher: Good morning everybody! You’re welcome to our English party ”All Seasons are Beautiful”. Today we are going to speak about seasons and months of the year. What do you know about months?

 

(Children recite a poem in turn)

Children:

January with cold is set,

February is chilly and wet,

March wind often ranges,

In April weather changes.

 

Pretty flowers come in May,

Sunny June brings longest days.

In hot July sky is clear,

Then August with corn is here.

 

For fruit September opens,

October sweeps the leaves.

Next enters grey November,

And lastly snowy December.

 

 

Teacher: As you know a year has four seasons. Children, do you know? ( The children name seasons).You are right. Let’s start our party with a song.

(Children sing a song)

Song:

Winter is white,

Spring time is green,

Summer is golden,

And autumn’s flame.

Four lovely seasons

To make up a year.

Sing them by colour

And sing them by name.

Teacher: Good for you. And the first season of the year is winter. Come here December, January and February.

( Winter Months appear on the stage)

 

Child 1: New Year’s Day, a happy day,

              We are all glad and very gay!

              We all dance and sing and say,

              “Welcome! Welcome! New Year Day!”

 

Child 2: It’s winter, it’s Christmas tree.

              These are big balls and lovely dolls,

              Many children you can see.

              There are flags and there are ribbons

 

              Little bells and bright stars, too.

             Red and orange, green and yellow,

             Pink and violet, purple and blue.

 

Teacher: One of the dearest winter holidays is New Year. Look, now the animals welcome you to the forest to celebrate New Year with them.

(Animals appear on the stage)

 

Squirrel: Come to my hut, I’ll give you a nut.

 

Hare: Come to my village,

           I’ll give you a cabbage.

 

Hedgehog: Come to my house,

                   I’ll give you a mouse.

 

Fox: Come to my hole,

        I’ll treat you all.

 

Bear: Come to my den,

          You’ll get honey then.

 

All together: Welcome, welcome to us.

                     We shall sing, play and dance. Let’s sing a song:

(Children and animals sing a song)

 SONG:

Are you sleeping (2)

New Year Tree?

New Year Bells are ringing (2)

Ding, dong, ding.

 

Teacher: Thank you, children and you, Winter Months. What season comes after winter? (The children answer) You are right. It’s spring. Come here spring months.

Child 3: This is the season,

              When snowdrops bloom,

              When nobody likes

              To be in his room.

 

Child 4:  This is a season,

               When birds make their nests,

                This is a season

                We like the best.

Child 5:This is the season, when nights are short.

             And children have plenty fun and sport,

              Boating and swimming all day long

             Will make us well and very strong.

Teacher: Let’s come to the next season. Guess what season is it.

 (Children answer)

Teacher:  You are right. It’s summer. Summer is very beautiful because we have our holidays! Come here Summer Months. (Summer Months appear on the stage). Come here!

Child 6: When woods are green and groves are ripe,

              And leaves are large and long,

              It’s good to wander through the woods

              And hear the small birds’ song.

Teacher: Now we come up to the next season. Guess what it is.

This is the season, when fruit is sweet,

This is the season, when school friends meet,

When noisy and gay, and brown in the sun,

With their books and begs to school they run.

(Children name the season)

Child 5: What a rainy season!

              The sky is dark and grey.

              No sunshine any more,

              No playing out-of- doors.

Teacher: Thank you children! You know months and seasons very well. You recited poems and sang songs. Thank you, Months, I hope you enjoyed our party. Thank you for coming.
