Позакласний захід з англійської мови «Railwaymen on the cuisine»

Мета заходу: в ігровій формі всебічно розглянути лексику, пов’язану з назвами продуктів харчування, дати можливість кожному учню виявити активність, показати рівень своєї ерудиції; поглибити, систематизувати та удосконалити знання,  вміння та навички учнів із вивченого матеріалу, тренувати використання умовних речень, увагу, уяву.

Обладнання: картки із завданнями, зображення продуктів харчування та страв, кросворди, відео кліп та презентація

Огляд заходу:  Позакласний виховний захід з англійської мови проводиться в ігровій формі, як конкурс-вікторина серед учнів, які вивчають англійську мову. Під час заходу учні, поділені на команди, змагаються між собою у відповідях на запропоновані питання по темі «Кулінарія», виконують завдання по даній темі, показують рівень своєї ерудиції. На заході учні поглиблюють, систематизовують та удосконалюють знання, професійні вміння та навички із вивченого матеріалу.

Хід заняття

І. Організаційна частина

Поділ учнів на команди, назви команд,презентація

(команди по черзі презентують себе, говорять як їх звати та їхня улюблена їжа).

ІІ. Основна частина

1.Count the words connected with “Meals”

(Зачитуємо всі слова, серед яких є слова на тему «Їжа». Учасникам потрібно порахувати їх кількість – 2 бали за правильну відповідь.)

Milk, apple, home, friend, school, soup, spaghetti,  potato, por­ridge, bell, bread, cheese, fish, brother, Africa,  par­ents,  meat, sev­en, teacher - (10)

2. Make up dialogues

(Учасникам роздають репліки з діалогу, їм потрібно скласти діалог із поданих реплік – 4 бали. Час на підготовку – 2 хв.)

DINNER TIME

• Would you like to come to the table now? I think everything's ready. (Сідаємо за стіл? Я думаю все готове)
• Thank you. Oh, this looks lovely. (Дякую. О, все виглядає чудово)

• Would you like some salad? (Трохи салату?)
• This is absolutely delicious. (Цілком смачно)
• Thank you. I'm glad you like it. And would you like some steak pie? (Дякую. Я радий, що вам подобається. Хочете трохи м’ясного пирога?)
• No, it really is lovely, but I don't think I could man­age any more, thank you. (Ні, все справді чудове, але я не думаю, що зможу ще щось їсти, дякую)

COFFEE TIME

• Coffee? (Кави?)
• Black, please. (Чорну, будь ласка)
• Help yourself to the marzipan cake. (Пригощайтесь тортом Марципан)

• No, thank you. I'm afraid marzipan doesn't agree with me. Could you pass some apple-pie instead, please? (Ні, дякую. Марципан мені не до  смаку. Передайте натомість яблучного пирога, будь ласка?)
• Here you are. (Ось, будь ласка)
• Thank you. (Дякую)

(Учасникам зачитують назви продуктів, їм потрібно відповісти у котрий магазин вони підуть за поданими продуктами – 2 бали за кожну правильну відповідь. Завдання на швидкість. Якщо відповідь у команди, що перша підняла руку, невірна, право відповіді переходить до іншої команди)

(Учням зачитують опис певного продукту, їм потрібно підібрати зображення до опису – 2 бали за кожну правильну відповідь. Завдання на швидкість. Якщо відповідь у команди, що перша підняла руку, невірна, право відповіді переходить до іншої команди)

Holubtsi - Cabbage rolls stuffed with rice and vegetables, or possibly with spiced minced meat, and stewed slowly in the oven.

Borshch - Soup based on beetroot with meat and other vegetables; served with sour cream. There are many regional varieties.

Varenyky - Ravioli-like pasta stuffed with potato, cabbage, mushrooms, meat or cheese, or with cherries as a sweet dish.

Domashnia kovbasa - A domestic sausage, but it can't be called saliami. The only way to sample true home-prepared sausage is by experiencing it for yourself with the sights and smells of the markets of Ukraine.

Haggis - is a savoury Scottish pudding containing sheep's heart, liver and lungs; minced with onion, spices, and salt, traditionally encased in the animal's stomach.

Doughnuts – [ˈdoʊnʌt] is a type of fried dough confectionery or dessert food.

ІІІ. Заключна частина.

1.                   Оголошення результатів

(Журі підраховує загальну кількість балів кожної команди. Під час підрахунку балів переглядаємо і співаємо пісеньку “Hokey Pokey: Fruit and Veggies”).

Appendix 4

a story about sandwich

The Earl of Sandwich lived in the XVIII century. He liked to play cards for money. He often played all day and all night. Once he had been playing for 24 hours without stopping. The servants brought him food — some meat and some bread. He did not want to stop playing while he ate. He put some meat be­tween two pieces of bread. In this way he could play without stopping because he did not have to go to table to eat. From the name of this man the word sandwich came.
