Позакласна робота з іноземної мови органічно входить у навчально-виховний процес. Форми можуть бути самими різними: конкурси, олімпіади, вечори, свята. Проведення позакласних занять підвищує інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови, розвитку розмовних навичок, повторення і закріплення вивченої лексики, розширенню словникового запасу. Коли учні виконують пісні, декламують вірші, беруть участь у конкурсах та іграх, все це приносить їм велику естетичну насолоду і сприяє поглибленню мовних знань. Крім того, позакласна робота допомагає учневі долучитися до іншої культури, що дозволяє йому усвідомити себе як особистість, що належить до певної соціокультурної спільності людей, а також виховує в ньому повагу до іншого способу життя.

Враховуючи рівень розвитку пізнавальних процесів учнів, даний позакласний захід створює відповідний психологічний клімат, розвиває пізнавальну і мовну активність дітей. Використовується роздатковий і наочний матеріали, які стимулюють процес розвитку пізнавальних інтересів, тим самим мотивуючи учнів на вивчення іноземної мови.

Захід містить різні види робіт; реалізовується потреба рухатися, діяти, спілкуватися.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Мета заходу: Знайомство з традиціями святкування Різдва в Україні та Великобританії.

 

Завдання:

•  розширювати світогляд учнів з країнознавчих матеріалів;
•  розвинути навички групової діяльності;
•  розвинути творчі здібності учнів через ігрову діяльність;
•  розвинути і підтримувати інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови;
•  виховувати шанобливе ставлення до культури, традицій і звичаїв свого народу і народів інших країн.

 

Оснащення: аудіоносії, записи різдвяних пісень, роздатковий матеріал, плакати, великий плакат із зображенням ялинки, різдвяні атрибути, ялинки, вінки, вітальні листівки, панчохи, ковпаки.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pupil1 – Hello, dear friends! Hello teachers, pupils and our guests!

Pupil 2 – Hello, еverybody! Today our party is devoted to the most wonderful holidays of the year. Can you guess what holidays are they?

 Pupil 1 – Yes, of course, everybody can guess. They are Christmas and New Year.

Pupil 2 – So, all about Christmas now, the most wonderful holiday for children.

Pupil 3:

December days . . . how still all Nature lies
Yet there are pictures to be found
So pleasing to the eyes;
All seems asleep and yet the colour holds
A promise of the springtime as the days unfold.

 

Pupil 4: December days . . . sky's colours interleaved
Though muted, dull, we are not long deceived
For hear the Robin's song, red breasted chum,
Brave heralding of warmer days to come.

 

Pupil 5: December days . . . as Christmas time draws near
Brings Family warmth, and Friendship's joyful cheer,
From memory's store so many days to bless
And cherish so in quiet thankfulness.

 

Pupil 1:There are many Christmas traditions in different countries, but today we shall speak about Christmas traditions in Great Britain and Ukraine.

Pupil 2: The weeks before Christmas are full of excitement. People rush about shopping for presents, decorating their houses, sending cards and generally getting ready for the coming holiday.

Pupil 2: Decorations are used to add to this feeling of anticipation. In many churches candles are lit on four Sundays before Christmas. By the way,Agnezhka , do you know why people call this holiday Christmas?

Pupil 1: You know, the history of this holiday is very long. It goes back to ancient times. The celebration of Christmas is connected with the birth of Jesses Christ. For all Christians this holiday marks the coming of the son of god to the Earth in human form.

 

A poem «The Christ is born».

The Story Of The Birth Of Jesus
Once a cold night in December,
Began a story we all remember,
With angels singing praise,
And nearby Shepherds daze.

That night in a lonely manger,
Could not have been lonelier,
For a young pregnant virgin,
With no room in the inn.

A Holy Child was born,
In a place that’s not adorn,
For the Child was a King,
Salvation He will bring.

A bright star marked the sky,
And Wise Men even came by,
Searching for the mighty One,
God’s Holy Son.

Shepherds who worked at night,
Saw an angel gleaming bright,
As they headed for the manger,
That one night in December.

In that lonely manger,
There lay the Savior,
By the Virgin Mother,
And Joseph besides her.

Of what they witness in the stall,
They praise God for what they saw.

And when they went away that night,
From that manger site,
The Good news got around,
That in a little Judea town,
A little child wrapped warmly,
Was a child of God’s Glory.

This story, now many years old,
And millions of times retold,

Reached many different places,
And all kind of races.

Many have been blessed,

Pupil 1:– Denys, as for me, I am fond of this holiday. What about you?

 

Pupil 2 :– I like this holiday because it has many interesting traditions and customs, for example, hanging stockings, decorating Christmas tree. One of the best customs, I think, is giving presents to each other. Now let’s watch the video presentation .

 

Pupil 1:– What’s a holiday without songs. For Christmas there are special ones. Let’s sing one of them. (JingleBells).

 

Pupil 2:– In every country the customs and traditions are similar, but the spirit of love and friendship is the same. It is the time when people think of other people.

 

Pupil 1: Yes, you are guite right. Some people say that Christmas is a time of miracles and hope, when selfless giving is rewarded in heavenly ways. Now,Lets have a fun and play a game “Draw a Snowman”You will try to draw a snowman on the board with blinded eyes.

Pupil 2:  Ok,and now we have another fun for you ” A letter to Santa Claus”. This is a letter to Santa Claus. You have some pictures in the letter instead of words. Pupil 2: Agnezhka, do you know there is  also tradition to make a Christmas pudding to this holiday?

 

Pupil 1: Yes, I know about this tradition. Christmas pudding is an old British tradition. Old tradition states there should be thirteen ingredients in the pudding: raisins, currents, suet, brown sugar, bread crumbs, citron, lemon peel, orange peel, flour, mixed spices, eggs, milk, and brandy.

 

Pupil 2: The old custom of using thirteen ingredients was a symbol of Jesus and the twelve disciples. It was not uncommon to mix in small objects while making the pudding. There are many variations to what kind of small objects were found hidden in the pudding. The most common object was a silver coin. The lucky person to be served the slice of pudding containing the silver coin was ensured good luck and success the following year.

Pupil 2.  Tehere are many interesting tradition in Great Britain .But Ukraine Christmas is celebrated on the 7^th of January. Sviata Vecheria, or Holy Supper, is the main tradition in Ukrainian homes. The head of the family brings in a sheaf of wheat called the didukh. When the Ukrainians see the first Star in the eastern evening sky, Sviata Vecheria begins.

 

 

Pupil 1: People usually lay the table with 12 meatless and milkless dishes. «Kutya» is a traditional Ukrainian Christmas dish. At the end of Sviata Vecheria the family often sing koliadkas, Ukrainian Christmas Carols.Let's sing  Ukrainian carol.

Pupil 2: Thank you  for carol. And now  I’ll give you a riddle and after 20 seconds you are to give me your answer. If your answer is right, you can take a toy and decorate the tree and take a little present . Let's go!
