Egyptians had brown eyes and black hair. Men and women had long hair. It was hot, so they wore light clothes. Men wore short skirts. Women wore long dresses

People in Egypt lived in mud houses. P

Many people were farmers. They grew wheat and vegetables. They used animals to help on the farm

Egyptians wrote using tiny pictures called hieroglyphs. They wrote on paper made from a plant called papyrus. E

Egyptians ate bread, fruit, and vegetables. They drank water and milk. Rich people ate meat and honey.

A king in Ancient Egypt was . pharaoh. People believed the pharaoh was like a god.

A Famous Queen of Egypt was Cleopatra She was smart and brave. She spoke many languages. People remember her even today. Cleopatra had pets a snake and a cat

When a pharaoh died, priests made the body a mummy. They cleaned the body and used oil and salt. Then they wrapped it in white cloth. The mummy was put in a coffin (box) called a sarcophagus. Then it was placed inside a tomb or pyramid.

Egyptians built big . . . pyramids. Pharaohs (kings) were buried in pyramids.
