Famous scientists

Albert Einstein  was a German theoretical physicist. General relativity: the gravity is a geometric property of space and time, or spacetime. 

Michael Faraday was an English scientist who contributed to the fields of electromagnetism andelectrochemistry. His main discoveries include those of electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism and electrolysis.

Robert Hutchings Goddard  was an American engineer, professor,  physicist, and  inventor who is credited with creating and building the world's first liquid-fueled rocket which he successfully launched on March 16, 1926. 

Sir Isaac Newton  was an English physicist and mathematician (described in his own day as a "natural philosopher") who is widely recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time and as a key figure in the scientific revolution. Newton's Principia formulated the laws of motion and universal gravitation, which dominated scientists' view of the physical universe for the next three centuries.

Charles Rober Darwin was an English naturalist and geologist, best known for his contributions to evolutionary theory.

Nikolaus Kopernikus was a  mathematician and an astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the centre of the Universe.

Dmitrii Ivanovich Mendeleev was a Russian chemist and inventor. He formulated the Periodic Law, created his own version of the periodic table of elements.

Ivan Petrovich Pavlov was a Russian physiologist known primarily for his work in classical conditioning.

James Watt  was a Scottish inventor, mechanical engineer, and chemist. He constructed the first steam engine.

John Logie Baird  was a Scottish engineer, innovator, one of the inventors of the mechanical television.

Kirkpatrick Macmillan was a Scottish blacksmith. He is generally credited with inventing the bicycle.

Neil Alden Armstrong was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the Moon.
