It is interesting to know that…

1. The United States – “a nation of immigrants”
2. BUT!!! 94% of Americans today were born in the U.S. They are still “more American” than they  are Ukrainians, Irish, German or Italian.
3. The “average American” – might be white, but Americans are not “normally” white. 
4. Most  Americans are Christians – but America is not a Christian country.
5. English – the common Language of use – but not the national language by law.
6. The American meets the legal requirements of citizenship – nationality-race, religion, language – unimportant.
7. They have great enthusiasm Americans are sentimental.
8. They have courage and don’t give in easily.
9. Take any sort of job rather than be unemployed.
10. Americans like to dress correctly.
11. They can laugh at their country – but remain patriotic.
12. Americans have a wide knowledge of everyday things – but have little interest of the outside world.
13. Individual American is generous – but the American nation is hard.
14. In the U.S. there are as many exceptions as there are rules. One hard rule – expect the unexpected.
15. Describe the “average American”. What is this new man?
