Topic: Halloween Vocabulary

Objective:

Students will learn and use new words related to Halloween.

1. Warm-up (5 min)

* Greet the class: “Today we’ll learn new English words about Halloween!”

* Show flashcards or pictures and ask:

 * What can you see?

  * Do you celebrate Halloween?

2. Vocabulary (10–15 min)

| English word | Ukrainian meaning | Example                      |

| ------------ | ----------------- | ---------------------------- |

| pumpkin      | гарбуз            | I have a big pumpkin.        |

| ghost        | привид            | The ghost is white.          |

| witch        | відьма            | The witch has a black hat.   |

| bat          | кажан             | A bat can fly at night.      |

| spider       | павук             | The spider is scary.         |

| mummy        | мумія             | The mummy walks slowly.      |

| skeleton     | скелет            | The skeleton dances.         |

| vampire      | вампір            | The vampire has sharp teeth. |

| monster      | монстр            | The monster is green.        |

| candy        | цукерка           | I get candy on Halloween.    |

3. Practice (10 min)

* Repeat after the teacher (pronunciation)

* “What’s missing?” game with flashcards

* Matching words to pictures

* Mini-test: write English words under pictures

4. Speaking (5–7 min)

Ask students:

* What do you like on Halloween?

* What is scary?

* Do you like candy?

Sample sentences:
