• Практичні: активізувати та поповнити запас тематичних лексичних одиниць, спонукати до усного спілкування іноземною мовою в типових ситуаціях на залізничному вокзалі, автовокзалі, в аеропорті, використовуючи вже сформовані мовленнєві вміння, формувати вміння діалогічного мовлення, відпрацьовувати роботу в малих групах, залучати до дискусії;
• Виховні: виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови, повагу до вчителя, дисциплінованість, культуру спілкування.

Обладнання: підручник, матеріали для проведення уроку:постери, картки, мультимедійна презентація

T. Good day, pupils! I am very pleased to meet you today. Our lesson is about TRAVELLING, as well. This lesson we’re going to talk about travelling, different means of transport, railway stations, bus stations, airports, ports and so on.

Text 1 It is the fastest way of traveling. It can take you from one town to the other one in time. The seats are comfortable. That is a pity but sometimes you can see very little from the windows. The things are too small to see them. When the weather is rainy or foggy you cannot travel by it. (By plane)

Text 2 This way of traveling is fast. You can stop at any place you like and go where you like. You need no tickets. Usually families go by it. (By car)

Text 3 This is the slowest way of traveling. Both young and old people like it. You need not worry about the tickets. The only thing you need is a rucksack. You can visit many places in such away. (On foot)

Text 4 This way of traveling is fast. The carriages are comfortable. It is so pleasant to travel in them. You can see a lot of interesting things from carriage windows. You can make a long journey on land by it. (By train)

— Is it your first trip?

— No, it is not. Two month ago I traveled to Italy.

— Great! I was traveling to Turkey last summer. It was wonderful. Listen. They are announcing the flight to Canada.

— You are right. Bye.

— See you soon.

Dialogue 2

— Where did you go on holiday in summer?

— To Budapest.

— Did you fly there?

— No, I didn’t. I went by ferryboat ant train.

— Where did you live?

— In a hotel. The Hilton Hotel.

— How long did you live there?

— For six days, from Friday to Wednesday.

— And what did you do there?

— Well, the hotel had Wonderful swimming pools, so in the mornings I visited interesting places and in the afternoons swam.

Dialogue 3

— Hello!

— Hi!

— Are you going to Kyiv?

— Yes, I am. And where are you going?

— I’m going to Lviv. My relatives live there.

— I have many friends in Kiev. And they are calling me.

— And my relatives will be very glad to see me. I haven’t seen them for ages

— They are announcing the flight to Kyiv. Bye.
