Сценарій заходу: St. Patrick’s  Day

Цільова аудиторія: 8 – 11 класи

Мета заходу:

- розширити світогляд учнів;

- познайомити з мовою, традиціями, історією Шотландії;

- виховувати повагу до розмаїття культур;

- мотивувати вивчення іноземних мов;

-розвити естетичний смак;

Очікувані результати:

-зможуть використовувати отриману інформацію та критично оцінювати її;

-застосовувати ІКТ для пошуку та обробки інформації;

Компетентності: Обізнаність та самовираження у сфері культури. Інформаційно-цифрова компетентність. Уміння вчитися впродовж життя.

Обладнання: комп’ютер, проектор, відеоматеріали, карта-пазл. 

I Вступна частина.

1. Ведучий: I hope you know we are having a week, devoted to Great Britain. And today we’re going to speak about Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In spite of the fact that they are now different countries. They both have the same scenery, the same culture, climate and traditions. Today we’d like you to discover breathtaking landscapes and get acquainted with the culture and traditions of this fascinating land. Before we should devide you into two teams “ The Shamrocks” and “The Leprechauns”.

 На сцені Пеппі Довга Панчоха виконує домашнє завдання з англійської мови. Вона нудьгує, тому що їй не цікаво. Вона не хоче читати текст про Ірландію.

-          Oh, no. Retelling again! What a boring book!

-Where am I? Oh, my god. Who are they?

2. Два ірландця, хлопчик та дівчинка, з’являються на сцені. Вони розмовляють ірландською.

- Conas at a tu?  (How are you?)

- Ta go maith. (I’m well)

- Is mise Tina. (My name is Tina)

Вони помічають Пеппу.

- Cad is ainm duit? (What’s your name?)

- Sorry?

- What’s your name?

- I’m Peppa, and you?

- I’m Sean, John in English and this is Brid (Bridget).

- What language are you speaking?

- Irish.

- Where am I?

- You are in Ireland. Do you know where it is?

- Of course, it’s in my English book.

John: Look at the map! I’ll show you Ireland. Oh, no! Somebody has ruined our map.

Bridget: We should put everything in the right place.

J: Peppa, can you do it?

P: Sorry, I haven’t been a diligent student.

B: Let’s ask out guests to help.

Обидві команди складають пазл карти Великобританії.

II  Знайомство з країною.

J: Can you imagine? Ireland is amazing! It’s famous for its fortresses, cathedrals, monasteries, friendly people and stunning scenery. It’s called  the “Emerald Isle”, thanks to its greenery. На екрані слайд з краєвидами.

B:  The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast. It’s the youngest capital in the world. A lot of industries are developed in it. Belfast is a lively cultural centre, where there are excellent museums and galleries. (На екрані слайд з  зображенням столиці.)

J: The official flag of Northern Ireland is “The Union Jack” – the flag of Great Britain.

B: The unofficial flag is called “Red Hand Flag”. It consists of a red cross, a crowned six-pointed star with a red hand in the centre. It’s often used at the sports events.

III Знайомство з традиціями

В залі чути звуки скрипки.

P: Listen! Music is playing!

B: Oh, yes. Irish people are very talented. They are good at singing. Yes, I know this tune. It’s a folk song about the love of the king Henry VIII to Anna Boleyn. (На екрані зображення Анни та короля)    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TME0xubdHQc

Дівчинка виконує пісню  під аккомпанемент скрипки.

IV Святкування Дня Святого Патрика.

B: John, What day is it today?

J: It’s the 17 th of March.

B: We’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, our national holiday.

J: By the way, this holiday is celebrated in many countries, especially in America and Canada, where a lot of  Irish people migrated.

B: On this day the Kelly River in Chicago is dyed green for St. Patrick

J: People have parades and have fun.

B: But why is it called St. Patrick’s Day

J: Shamrock is the symbol of this day. It’s got 3 leaves. But if you get a 4-leaf clover, you are lucky. Бріджит дає Пеппі чотирилистник.

B: I think, it’s time to have a game “Who is the fastest?”

На екрані зображення багатьох трилистників та чотирилистників. Завдання командам швидко порахувати скільки кожного виду.

J: Look! Who is hiding there?

B: Leprechaunts! They are the main symbol of the holiday! They are little fairies, it’s almost impossible to catch them.

На сцені зявляються маленькі Лепрекончики, які виконують танець і співають пісню

 I'm a little leprechaun

Dressed in green,

The tiniest man

That you have seen.                                                             

If you ever catch me, so it's told,

I'll give you my big pot of gold.

Imagine that

 В кінці вони розбігаються. Ведучі роздають підказки де їх можна знайти.

 Частина команд відправляються на пошуки. З залом проводиться Whispering game,          під час якої командам ставлять питання, а відповідь пошепки вони передають один одному. Останній учень називає слово. На екрані з’являється малюнок, який є вірною відповіддю.

What’s the name of the ship, we associate with Northern Ireland?  (Titanic)

V Виконання ірландського танцю.

VI Підведення підсумків.

Як відомо, Лепрекони ховають свій скарб на краю веселки. Протягом свята кожна команда отримувала колір веселки за вірну відповідь.

J: Let’s sum up. How many colours of the rainbow have you got? Now the task is to put the colours in the right order. The winner is ……
