 “New Alice's Adventures”

Sister.  Please, Alice, be attentive!

Alice. No pictures, no conversations!  What is the use of a book  without pictures! It is so boring! I want to sleep! (Позіхає і кладе голову на розкриту книгу. В цей час виходять герої казки).

Rabbit. She is a good girl! She likes to read!

Hatter. Your Majesty, don`t you think that she is the girl that we need?

Cat. Meow! I have the same opinion!

Queen. If she believes in miracles, she is the girl that we need.

Queen. Hush! She wakes up! (Всі йдуть, а кролик шукає свій годинник).

Rabbit. Oh, dear! I shall be late!

Alice. A rabbit! With a watch! Strange, very strange! (Кролик втікає).

Rabbit. I’m late, I’m late, I’m late! The duchess will kill me because I`m late!

Alice. Mr. Rabbit! Wait, please, wait!

(Танець кролика і годинників. Аліса прокидається та імітує падіння в криницю).

Alice. Where am I? (Знаходить ключ). Oh! A key!  What a beautiful garden! But I am too big (Знаходить пляшку). Oh! A little bottle! (Читає).  «Drink Me!»  Now I’m too small! (знаходить шматок пирога і читає). Eat me! Oh, it’s interesting!

 (Виходять квітиі метелики, стають і завмирають).

Alice. Excuse me, could you… Oh, that’s nonsense, flowers can’t talk.

Flowers. Of course we can. We can tell you a story.

Flower 2. Let’s tell her about tulips.

Flower 3. Oh, no. Violets.

Flower 4. What about daisies?

Flower 5. Girls, stop arguing, let’s dance. It’s about all of us.

(Танець квітів і метеликів).

Alice. Thank you, my dear.

Butterfly 1. We are pretty.

Butterfly 2. We are great.

Butterfly 3. And you are not from our garden.

Alice. I am not from your garden.

Butterfly 4. Is she a wild flower?

Alice. Oh, no, I’m not a flower.

Flower. Aha! She is a common weed.

Alice. I’m not a weed!

Butterfly 1. Are you a bug?

Alice. I’m not a bug. Oh, they are mad! They call me a weed, a bug. I should find someone normal if I want to get back home.

(Пробігає кролик)

Rabbit. Oh, the Duchess, the Duchess!   She will punish me.

Alice. Mr. Rabbit!  Please, wait, please…

(Виходить гусениця і танцює разом з грибком).

Mushroom. You are good at dancing.

Caterpillar. Thank you ever so much!

Caterpillar. Who are you?

Alice. I don’t know.

Caterpillar. Oh, girl, come back, please!

Mushroom. Never get angry!

Caterpillar. I can help you!

Alice. How can you?

Caterpillar. Remember! One side will make you taller and the other side will make you shorter!

Alice. One side of what?

Mushroom. Of what? Of the mushroom.

Alice. But the mushroom is round… I’ll take two opposite pieces. Thank you!

(Виходить Шахова королева під музику).

Chess Queen. What`s your name?

Alice. I`m Alice.

Chess Queen. (сердито) Where are you from and where are you going? Look straight, speak politely and don`t pull your finger!

Alice. I was walking and lost my way!

Chess Queen. There is no your way! All ways are mine (лагідніше) What do you want? While thinking, curtsey, please! (Аліса робить реверанс).

Alice. Oh, this is a chessboard! There must also be figures! (Виходять дві фігури, а Аліса радісно) Yes, there are! I can play chess and become at least pawn, if only they took me to the game ... Of course, it is more pleasant to be a Queen!

Chess Queen. You always can be the Queen! But first you must pass the exam! How much will be one plus one plus one plus one plus?

Alice. Oh, I can`t. I lost count.

Chess Queen. She can't add. Tell me nine minus eight.

Alice. Oh, I can`t.

Chess Queen. She cannot subtract. Oh, I want to sleep! (Аліса під музику колискової ходить навкруг королеви, та скоро засинає, а  Аліса знаходить корону).

Alice. Oh, I`m the Queen! (Пишається короною, ніби милується в зеркалі).

(Аліса іде під музику. З’являється спочатку велика посмішка на паличці, а потім і сам  Чеширський Кіт, який ховається за Алісою).

Alice. Well,  I’ve often  seen a cat without a smile,  but a smile     without a cat…   It’s the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!

Cat, cat. Tell me the way!

Cat. That depends on where you want to get to.

Alice. What people live there?

Cat. In that direction lives a Hatter. And in that direction

lives a March Hare. They are both mad. We are all mad here. I’m mad. You are mad.  

(Аліса іде під музику. Виходять Dormouse, March Hare, Mad Hatter).

All: A very merry unbirthday to us, to us!

A very merry unbirthday to us, to us!

March Hare: A very merry unbirthday to me!

Hatter: To who?

March Hare: To me!

Hatter: Oh you!

March Hare: A very merry unbirthday to you!

Hatter: Who, me?

March Hare: Yes, you!

Hatter: Oh, me!

March Hare: Let's all congratulate us with another cup of tea

A very merry unbirthday to you!

Hatter: To me!

 (Танець «Шалене чаювання»+брейк данс Декорація).

(Аліса іде під музику. Виходять карти з червоною фарбою і білими трояндами і фарбують їх).

Alice. Why you are painting roses?

Cards. You see, Miss, it’s a terrible mistake.    The queen likes red roses.

Cards. Hush! Silence! The Queen!!!

The Queen of Hearts. Who painted my roses red?    You? You? You? Off with his head!  Off with his head!  Off with his head! Who is this?  

Alice. Oh, please, please! They wanted to …

The Queen of Hearts. What’s your name, child?

Alice. My name is Alice, your Majesty.

The Queen of Hearts. Where are you going?

Alice. I'm trying to find my way home.

The Queen of Hearts. Your way? All ways here are my ways! Can you play croquet?

Alice. Yes, your Majesty. (Королева і Аліса грають. Червоні карти стали аркою, а королева бере биту з приклеєним фламінго і забиваю під арку, у неї виходить, а у Аліси – ні, мимо).

 The Queen of Hearts. If I lose my temper, you lose your head, understand? Королева замахується на Алісу червоні карти та Шахова королева з пішаками заступаються. Танець-батл червоних карт і їхньої королеви і чорних карт і Шахматної королеви)

(Сестра і Льюіс Керол будять Алісу.)

Sister. Wake up! Wake up!

 Lewis Carroll . What a long sleep you’ve had!

Alice: Sister? Uncle Charles? Oh! I’ve had such a curious dream!

Lewis Carroll. You will tell me and I`ll write a book, “Alice`s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Alice Through The Looking Glass” where you will be the main character.

You know, Alice, magic exists in children's fantasies. And while they live, wizards live too.

(Звучить фінальний танець, де беруть участь усі герої).
