This summer I want to visit Bath. In History class we learned about the Ancient Romans- they built a lot of bath houses in this city . Our English teacher told us that Jane Austen used to live there, so I would like to see her old house. I am going to travel there with my family by bus. The trains are very expensive, and anyway I prefer travelling by bus because it is more comfortable.

Before our summer holidays start, we are going on a school tour to Snowdonia National Park. Last year I went there with my parents, but it will be cool to spend a day there with my friends. I hope this year we will climb Mount Snowdon because last year we didn’t have time to do this. We are going to have a picnic beside the lake. My classmates want to do some rock climbing, but I don’t think our teacher will let them. I should remember to take good walking boots with me so that my feet do not hurt. Last year I forgot to take them and it was a disaster.

I am going to visit Edinburgh in August with my elder brother. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. In August there is always a big arts festival there, and we are going to spend a couple of days there watching all kinds of performances- music, comedy, dance. I am looking forward to walking along the Royal Mile, a very famous street in Edingburgh, where you can see street performers. They say, people are so friendly in Edinburgh and the atmosphere is fantastic. The only problem is that there are so many shows on at the same time, so I won’t know which one to see!
There is a fantastic castle in Edinburgh, too. It is built on a volcano rock called Castle Rock .It’s on a hill, and it’s over 1000 years old. History is difficult for me, but I really love visiting castles. I have never been to this country, so I can’t wait! Maybe I will see some men wearing kilts!
