“Protecting the environment should be as important

as the protection of your own life “

Hi everyone! My name is Mariia Yanovska. I’m an eleven-former. I live in a beautiful and independent country Ukraine. I do love music and I believe that music is able to make our world even better and healthier. 

Today I’m singing you the cover song named “This world hasn’t disappeared yet” by a famous Ukrainian rapper Alyona Alyona. The song declarates that we all have come to our world to make it better. But nowadays we destroy even that which doesn’t need improvement. We destroy it not thinking about effects.  Bali seashores are full of plastic from the ocean. The rubbish is everywhere.  Waste is in Ukrainian rivers, forests are polluted with rubbish, plastic bags brought with wind are seen on the fields.  People are stretching their hands up but they are drowning. People are lonely in the whole world.

I don’t want to live and see this in the future! We live in the period of users who are eager to use everything around them to enjoy and simplify their lives. We have forgotten that to be really happy is to have simple things. Material goods never replaces your internal empty world.  We have forgotten that earth resources can finally disappear.

We are beginning to feel that we interfere ourselves. Everybody complains that the state of affairs in modern technological world is so complicated that nobody can understand it. Nobody really knows what to do.

         But it’s never too late to do anything. It doesn’t matter where you live, what your skin colour is, what language you speak or what you believe in. What matters is what each man and woman can leave for future generations, what they can do now while children are sleeping. Our home is disappearing while we are in our stone soles! Wake up and do everything possible to save the environment!!!
