         Урок – роздум в 11 кл. за темою :  ‘’ What is love?

                                                                              St. Valentine’s Day ‘’

 

Мета:  - активізувати вміння та навички учнів в говорінні, читанні та письмі;        

             - розвивати вміння дискутувати, розвивати пізнавальний інтерес, увагу              

               пам'ять, мовленнєву здогадку;

• вчити учнів оформляти послання до Дня Св. Валентина; розширювати   знання учнів про свята англо-мовних країн; спонукати їх до відвертої розмови;
• виховувати дисциплінованість, культуру спілкування, повагу до протилежної статі.

 

Очікувані результати :  учень може дискутувати і висловити власну думку та   свої почуття; учень може працювати в групах; учень може обговорювати питання щодо закоханості у підлітків; учень вміє презентувати свої листівки до Дня закоханих.

Обладнання : підручник, ноутбук, роздат. матеріал ,символічний мікрофон.

Тип уроку : розвиток мовленнєвих умінь.

1. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

 

Aim.          Повідомлення теми уроку.

              T   Dear children! I want you to look at the blackboard and read a motto of our lesson ‘’Love is like flowers… ‘’ So, what are we going to talk about? All right, it is love and a very romantic holiday of those who are in love – St.Valentine’s Day.

 

Warm – up.  T  What does the word ‘’love ‘’ mean for you?

T   What is love? It seems there is no thing simpler than love and at the same time there is no thing more complicated than love. Everybody feels love to another person, but it is hard to explain what love is. Life is full of love, but nobody can see that. We love our parents and friends, relatives and pets; we love our homes and our Moterland  Ukraine. 

The most beautiful feeling is love between a man and a woman. There is an old legend.

• Once upon a time there were not men and women.

These ancient people were stronger and wiser than Gods.

They could do everything and they were happy.

 

• The Gods didn’t  like that. They decided to win people. But how to do that? The Gods thought much and at last decided to divide each person into 2 parts – a man and a woman and mix them on the Earths .

 

• Since that time people became weak. Each one tries to find the lost half.

 

 

• Those, who find each other, fell in love and become as strong as Gods. When all people find their halves they wiil become stronger than God again.

 

A nice legend, isn’t it? But love really makes wonders. Large love makes lovers better and kinder.

2. Основна частина уроку

 

1. Speaking.      Обговорення питання ‘’What is love?’’

T  :      - Do you believe in love at first sight?

• Do you think love at first sight is for a long period?
• Do you know some people who fell in love at first sight and live together happily now?

 

 

2. Work in Groups.   ‘’ Aquarium ‘’  Topic ‘’Love Problems’’

T        In every country young people have many problems connected with love. In every magazines for the youth there is often a special page called ‘’Problem Page’’. Teenagers send letters to the ‘’problem page’’ asking for advice. Psychologists answer them. Today we have 2 pupils with some problems. Try to advise them.

( Двоє учнів розповідають про свої проблеми, всі радять їм, як бути).

 

3. Listening.   Аудіювання пісні  ‘’ Titanic ‘’

Клас ділиться на 3 групи.  ‘’ Round Table ‘’.

Кожна група виписує всі почуті в пісні дієслова. Перемагає та група, яка напише більше дієслів.

 

T:  Q :  What is the title of the song? Who is the singer? What is this song about?

 

4. Speaking.    ‘’Microphone ‘’

Обговорення питання  « Що означає бути закоханим?»

T   We’ll discuss attitudes to being in love. How would you complete the sentence  “ Being in love….’’

( Учні швидко по черзі висловлюють свою думку чи позицію. Говорить той, у кого «символічний мікрофон».

 

5. Reading.     Text  ‘’ St. Valentine’s Day ‘’

Pre-reading  Q:  1. When do the people celebrate St. Valentine’s Day?

                             2. Do you like to receive ( to sent ) Valentine’s card?

 

Post - reading.  Q: 1. What is the main idea of the text?

                                 2. Speak about the heroes of the text.

                                 3. Is it good or bad for lovers to receive Valentine’s             card do not write the names on it?

 

6. Writing.   Presentation.

T :       Dear children!

           Look at the blackboard, please!

           We have a big heart on it. It is a heart of love of our pupils. There are 15 small hearts on it. They are symbolize a big love all pupils of our group to their parents, to their teachers, to their friends and at last to their Motherland Ukraine. I want you to write down you wishers devoted St. Valentine’s Day.

 

3. Заключна частина уроку.

Homework.      ‘’ Being love is painful ‘’.  Написати твір – роздум.
