Хід уроку.
1.Greeting and Aim
Т.: The topic of our lesson is “ Speaking about Art”. We’ll speak about art and artists. You will express your feelings and thoughts the art evokes in you.

T: Every day we create something new, something perfect.
It’s a mere pleasure to feel oneself a real inventor.
We create our happiness and future.
We must live in harmony with nature and love art
3. Speaking . Слайд 3, Say What is ART?
Ps: Film, music, painting, sculpture... But today we are going to speak about painting, about the greatest English painters.
Слайд 4, The picture is a poem without words. Do you agree with these words?
Ps: Yes, we do. Looking at the picture I suppose art is living history of the past and it helps us understand the events of those times.

T: So your home task was to find information about one of the famous English painters and prepare a presentation about them.

6. Matching.
The next task is Matching. Here you can see painters, their names, pictures, and the names of their pictures. (У різних частинах класу прикріплено до стіни або лежать на партах : 1) портрети художників(позначено цифрами), 2) їх імена, 3)картини(позначено літерами), 4) назви картин. Робота індивідуальна або групова. Учні мають підходити і в зошитах записати, як у наступних відповідях).

7. Writing.
T: And the last task is to describe one of the masterpiece with the help of the items on the copies
“Mr. and Mrs. Andrews”
The portrait was painted in 1749. This was one of the Gainsborough’s earliest portraits The subject of the painting are the English country squire, Robert Andrews and his wife Frances Mary who he had married a year earlier and this work by Gainsborough was commissioned to celebrate the marriage. Let us have a close look at the painting. The first thing that strikes me is that although it is a portrait, the landscape take up more than half of the space. Robert Andrews stands straight. His faithful gun-dog at his side looking loving up at his Master.His hand is in his pocket but even so it is a somewhat formal pose.He has just returned from a shoot. Mrs. Andrews sits next to her husband on a bench. She is dressed in her finest clothes. I am sure that the couple were happy with this work of art.
