Урок підготовлено відповідно до авторської програми факультативного курсу з англійської мови “Social English Studies” ( “Навчання ситуативного спілкування” ) для учнів 6 класів загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів, укладеної за новим Державним стандартом ( I семестр), спрямований на навчання усного діалогічного мовлення в тематичних рамках.

Тема: Гуляючи містом.

Підтема: Визначні місця Лондона.

Мета :

1. Освітня: ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою теми, активізувати ії.

2. Практична: оволодіти знаннями про визначні місця Лондона.

3. Розвиваюча: розвивати мовну здогадку, творче мислення, включати нові лексичні одиниці в мовленнєву ситуацію, розвивати навички діалогічного мовлення, а також техніку читання та аудіювання.

4. Виховна: виховувати цікавість та повагу до визначних місць іншої країни.

Обладнання: дошка, ноутбук, телевізор, тексти діалогів.


Хід заняття :

  1. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

T: The subject of our today lesson is Sightseeing in London. We shall go around the capital of Great Britain and learn some useful words and expressions.

David: Did you say you’re going to take a vacation next month?

Ruth:   Yes, my family and I are going to New York for a week. We want to visit  the museums and see some plays.

David:  I envy you. I haven’t had a vacation for a long time. I wish I could get away for a while.

Ruth:   You can take a vacation some time soon, can’t you?

David:  No, there’s too much work to do. Maybe next year.

 2) T: Answer the questions, please.

Who is going to New York for a week?

What do they want to visit?

Why can’t David  take a vacation?

  •                   Can we get a taxi?
  •                   No. Not today, Max. We’re going to get a bus.
  •                   Well, let’s get that one, it goes near the Buckingham Palace.
  •                   Emily, do you want to buy the tickets?
  •                   Yes, please!
  •                   Hello. Can I have four tickets, please.
  •                   How many children?
  •                   Two children and two adults, please.
  •                   That’s ₤ 40, please.
  •                   Thank you.
  •                   Let’s sit upstairs!
  •                   Dad, where are we going now?
  •                   We’re going to the London Eye.
  •                   Where’s the London Eye?
  •                   I’m not sure.
  •                   Excuse me, is the London Eye near here?
  •                   Yes, it is. You go straight on. Turn right. Go over the bridge. Then it’s on your left. You can’t miss it!

  •                   Look! There’s the Houses  of  Parliament  and Big Ben.
  •                   I can see Buckingham Palace!

  •                   Can we go on a boat, please?
  •                   Of course. We’re going on a boat next.
  •                   Is that a castle?
  •                   That’s the Tower of London.
  •                   Is that London Bridge?
  •                   No, that’s Tower Bridge. It’s next to the Tower of   London.
  •                   This is cool.
  •                   What’s a great day!
  •                   Yeah, I love London.
  •                   Me too. But, I’m tired now.
  •                   Let’s get the tube to the train station. Who’s got the tube map?
  •                   I have. We’re here and the train station is here.
  •                   OK. Come on. Let’s go home then!

3)  Post-Listening Activity. Етап перевірки розуміння діалогу.

    a) T: Answer the questions:    

  1.               What kinds of transport did the family use for their sightseeing around London?
  2.               What places of interest have they seen?
  3.               What was the price of tickets on the Sightseeing Bus?
  4.               What was the first sightseeing?
  5.               Did they like their trip?

b) T: Let’s practise this part of the dialogue in pairs. Диск Lesson 10. This is London 2.

  •                   Dad, where are we going now?
  •                   We’re going to the London Eye.
  •                   Where’s the London Eye?
  •                   I’m not sure.
  •                   Excuse me, is the London Eye near here?
