III. Composition of an Informal Letter
1. Pupils open their books at p.55 with the model of an informal letter. The teacher emphasizes the importance to follow the model structure in writing informal letters.
It’s important to follow the structure when you write informal letters. You should start with the date, then greet your pen friend and ask a few polite questions about him or her and his/her life. It’s good to remember something from the letter you’ve received from your pen friend. After giving your news you should close your letter wishing good luck and all the best and sign it.
2. Pupils compose orally a letter to a friend about their stay in the UK using the Model Letter Ex.2 p.55-56.
V. Home Assignment: Read the second page of London riverguide leaflet and write the informal letter about your stay in the UK using the Model Letter Ex.2 p.55-56 and the list of the free time activities in your notebooks.
