Warm-Up/Motivation -

1. "Today is my birthday! I am very excited. I will have a party with all my friends. At the party I will have blue and red balloons. I will have a big chocolate cake with five candles. My friends will bring me three presents. It will be a great day!"

• Students will listen to the text and draw the items described in the story. Students will hold up their pictures for the class to see.

2. Question for students - How old are you? When is your birthday?

Present answers - My birthday is in May/July.

Presentation -

1. Vocabulary:

(1) to celebrate

(2) blow out the candles

(3) sing songs

(4) listen to music

(5) play games

(6) eat cake

2. Question for students: What do you do at a birthday party?

Present answers - (Read and repeat)
