Materials: Pupil`s book by Oksana Karpyuk (2018), flashcards, handouts for the game “Bingo”, speech patterns
Procedure
І. Warming-up
1. Greetings. Good morning, boys and girls! It`s a wonderful day today! How are you?
2. Introduction. Today we`ll speak about your friends and their hobbies. You`ll introduce your friends. We`ll also revise how to use the verbs to be/ to have got in the Present Simple Tense.
3. Competition. “Best poetry reader”. Children, tell me, please, have you got a friend? Is it good to have got a friend? First, listen to the poem “A friend is the best thing to have” then recite it. The best poetry reader will be rewarded.
A friend is the best thing to have,
A friend is the great thing to be,
If you have a great friend
From beginning to end,
You can be as lucky as me!
A friend is the best thing to know,
A friend will always be there,
If you have a great friend
From beginning to end,
You’ll always have someone who cares!
