Procedure:
1.Introduction
1.1. Warming up. Likes or dislikes.
There’s a list of words written on the blackboard.
Ask Ss what they like or dislike doing in their free time. (See Worksheet 1)
1.2. What is necessary for a hobby?
Ask 8 Ss to find and match the pairs. (See Worksheet 2)
2. The main part of the lesson
2.1. Word Square. Ask Ss to have a look at the word square and find the words that refer to the things they can collect. (See Worksheet 3)
2.2. Guessing Cards.
Ask Ss to listen to the descriptions of some hobbies, to predict the hobbies and name them. (See Worksheet 4)
2.3. Listening ( video).
Ask Ss to have a look at the photo and predict what the boy’s/ girl’s hobby is.
Then watch a short video and say what the boy’s/ girl’s hobby is.

2.4. Dialogue Speech
Ask Ss to choose the words given in brackets and make up short dialogues.
(See Worksheet 6)
2.5.(Kahoot)
Ask Ss to take their mobiles to enter kahoot.it link and to check their knowledge оf vocabulary.
2.6. Jigsaw Reading.
Join Ss into 2 groups.
Ask Ss from group 1 to read the text Family`s Hobby.
Ask Ss from group 2 to read the text My hobby.
Then ask 1 student from group 1 to retell the text to Ss from group2.
Then ask 1 student from group 2 to retell the text to Ss from group1.
After that ask Ss to answer the questions. (See Worksheet 7)
2.7.TBR.
Ask Ss to have a rest. (See Worksheet 8)
2.8.Speaking. Children’s Presentations
Ask Ss to present their hobbies.
2.9.Mini-project: A Group Survey
Ask Ss to join in groups of 4 and answer the questions. (See Worksheet 9)
3. Conclusion
As a home task tell Ss to write (5-7) sentences about their hobbies.
Ask Ss to choose a smile according to their mood. (See Worksheet 10)
