Procedure
Good morning, students! How are you today? What weather is it like today? What date is it today? Write down the date and the topic, please. They are on the board.

When your parents tell you: to clean up the room, to behave, to do your homework, etc. they use the Infinitive. Now you are going to find out more bout it. Listen to rules and make notes.
The Infinitive is a non-finite form of the verb which consists of the base verb form and the particle “to”.
e.g.: to do, to go, to work, to talk, to find.
The infinitive names an action (to drive a car) or a state ( to be ill), but cant show a person, number, mood.

Find the infinitive and distinguish it’s form:
- They wanted me to sign the document. (simple)
- She is thought to be singing at the concert. (continuous)
- We need this work to be done by Friday. (simple passive)
- He supposed this project to have been realized by this time. (perfect passive)
- They seem to have been partying all night long. (perfect continuous)
- We appear to have lost our way. (perfect)
