Тема: Appearance

Мета: познайомити учнів з новими словами з даної теми та практикувати їх вживання, вчити описувати зовнішність людини, розвивати комунікативні уміння, удосконалювати навички читання та аудіювання, виховувати усвідомлення унікальності кожної людини.

Обладнання: підручник та  робочий зошит Quick Minds 3 для 3 класу загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів, аудіододаток до підручника, флешкартки.

Тип уроку: урок засвоєння нових знань.

ХІД УРОКУ

І. Організація класу

T.:

Good morning boys and girls!

I’m glad to see you! Take your seats!

T: Today we start next unit. It’s called “His hair is curly”. And today the topic of our first lesson is “Appearance”.

ІІ. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку

T: The aim of our today’s lesson is to learn new words and learn how to describe yourself .  So, let’s start our lesson.

III. Актуалізація опорних знань, вмінь та навичок.

Warming-up

1. Ballgame.

I’ll give you a ball and ask a question and your task is to answer it.

T: (передає м’яч) Hello, Miron! How are you?

P1: (ловить м’яч) Hello! I’m fine, thank you. (повертає м’яч учителеві)

T: What is your name?

P2: My name is Varya.

T: How old are you?

P3: I’m seven.

T: What’s your favourite sport (transport, day, month)? What do you like? etc

T:Thank you very much.

2. Phonetic game.

T: Let’s do phonetic drills [b]. Repeat after me, please.

"I'm busy, busy, busy"

 Says a little busy bee.

Little busy, busy bee.

Brought some honey to my tea.

T: Thanks a lot.

IV. Вивчення нового матеріалу.

T: Let’s start learning new words.

1. Listening (CD 2 tr.02)

T.: Open your pupil’s books on page 26. Look at task 1. Listen and look. Then listen and say the words.

2. Speaking (work with flashcards)

T.: Now you should look at the card and say what you see.

(Teacher shows cards with the pictures and the children say  “moustache”, “teeth”, “beard” and so on)

Time for rest.

T.: Now stand up, please. Let’s have a rest. Look at the screen and repeat.

V. Закріплення вивченого матеріалу.

1. Reading 

Now we’ll work in our activity books. Page 26, task 1. You should look, read and circle.

2. Writing

Task 2 on page 26. You should look at the pictures, read and match.

VI. Підведення підсумків та очікувані результати.

1. Speaking (game)

Pupils pass a ball, ask a question and give answers. (Have you got a …? Are you …?)

T.: So, today you've learnt the words that describe your appearance and you see that we are different in appearance and unique.

2. Homework

T.: At home you should describe your appearance. Task 2, p. 26 in activity books.
