- практична: ввести назви діяльності під час подорожі та активізувати їх вживання у мовленні учнів; ввести структури минулого неозначеного часу та практикувати їх вживання у мовленні учнів; формувати навички читання, аудіювання та діалогічного мовлення з теми «Діяльність під час подорожі»;

- розвивальна: розвивати уміння ознайомлюючого читання та аудіювання; розвивати уміння обговорювати подорожі вживаючи лексичний та граматичний інвентар уроку;

- пізнавальна: ознайомити учнів із різними видами діяльності під час подорожі;

- виховна: виховувати в учнів інтерес до подорожей та активного відпочинку.

ХІД УРОКУ

Introduction. Вступна частина.

1. Початок уроку. Привітання.

T.: Hello my dear students! I`m happy to see you again and I hope you are fine today.

2. Мовна зарядка.

T: First, I`d like to ask you something. Do you like travelling? What do you like most about travelling? I see you like to travel. So, let`s discuss a few more questions. Look at the screen and answer the questions.

The main part of the lesson. Основна частина уроку.

1. Повідомлення теми уроку та очікуваних результатів розділу та уроку.

T: Today we start a new unit and we are going to speak about your past travels, past events, and means of transports you use during your holidays. You`ll also learn to express your opinion, write paragraphs about a historical figure, and link your ideas when talking about travels and holidays.

T: Now, please, look at the screen and tell me what do you see in these pictures? How do you think, how they are connected to the topic of out today`s lesson? So, what is the topic of our today`s lesson? Yes, You`re right! The topic is “Holiday activity”.

T.: And by the end of the lesson you will: learn new vocabulary related to holiday activity, practise reading and speaking for gist (skimming), learn new grammar on Past Simple, and practise speaking about your past travels. So, I wish you to be attentive and have a great time reaching your goals.

2. Введення лексичного матеріалу. Впр. 1, с. 20.

T.: Now you`re going to learn some new words related to holiday activity. Please, open your books on p. 20 and look at the pictures of ex. 1. You can see some activities that people usually do while travelling. Your task is to match the pictures to the corresponding phrases. Then we will listen to the recording and check.

T: Let`s practise using new vocabulary in sentences. Look at the screen and read the sentences. Your task is to fill in the blanks with the phrases from the ex. 1.

3. Зорове сприймання. Впр. 2 (А), с. 20.

T: Look at the picture of ex. 2, p. 20. Who do you see in the picture? How do you think, what is happening?

I`m going to play the recording. Your task is to listen and follow in your books and underline all unknown words.

(Вчитель вмикає аудіозапис. Діти слухають та слідкують за текстом у підручнику, підкреслюють невідомі слова.)

T: Now, pay attention to the phrases ‘Here you go!’, ‘I`m only joking’ and ‘To be honest, …’. Read the phrases in the text. How do you think, what do they mean? Read the sentences and fill in the blanks with the phrases.

T: Look at the screen, please. Let`s check your comprehension and answer the questions.

4. Введення граматичного матеріалу. Впр. 3, с. 21.

T: As you know, you are going to learn speaking about past travels and events in this unit. So, you need to learn new grammar, don`t you? Look at the screen and let`s watch the video about the Past Simple Tense.

T: Look at the table in your books (p. 21). Please, make up a few sentences using the table. You can also see time expressions used in Past Simple. Let`s read them and make up a few sentences using these time expressions. Let`s build sentences in Past Simple of these words. Look at the first sentence. This sentence is affirmative. What word should go first? The next sentence is negative …

T: We`ll have some more practise. Look at the sets of words on the cards. Your task is to make up sentences in Past Simple with these words.

T: As you remember from our previous lessons, the verb to be has different form of Past Simple than other verbs. Who can tell me what are the Past Simple forms of the verb to be?

T: Now look at ex. 3, p. 21. You can see the sentences with the gaps. Your task is to use Past Simple forms of the verbs in brackets and complete the sentences. Pay attention that there are different forms of the sentences: affirmative, negative and interrogative.

5. Правильна вимова. Впр. 4, с. 21.

T: Let`s focus on pronunciation. Listen to the recording and pay attention to the pronunciation of -ed ending in different verbs. You get cards and tick the sounds you hear in front of each word.

(Учитель відтворює запис, учні слухають, звертають увагу на вимову закінчення -ed та ставлять позначки у картці.)

T: As you have heard, we pronounce -ed in different ways. So, look at the screen and say in which words -ed sounds like /t/ (/d/, /ed/)?

6. Усна взаємодія. Впр. 5, с. 21.

T: For the next task I `d like to ask you to make up pairs. You receive the cards with the questions. Ask your partner the questions and note your partners` answers in your cards. Then practise speaking about your pars travels with your partners using the questions in your cards. Some of you will come out to the front of the class and perform your dialogues to the class.
