Task: ( in groups)You are going to create a model of the great pyramids. First, calculate the size of the pyramids for your model. Think: How can you make a perfectly equal square pyramid? Plan your design. Discuss with your peers and start building.

A pyramid is a large structure with four sides that usually slope upward and meet at a point. The base of a pyramid is a rectangle, and the sides are usually triangles.

Base Area of a square pyramid The base of a square pyramid is a square Base area = side × side = unit 2

Surface Area of a Square Pyramid Surface Area of a Square Pyramid = (½)x P x l + B square units where, P is the perimeter of the base ,l- the slant height and B- the area of the base

Net of a Square Pyramid The net of the square pyramid will give a flattened view, showing each and every face. When the net of the square pyramid is folded back, it will result in the original 3d shape.

Think about…Are your Pyramids strong and stable?Do they have a different height from each other?Can you improve them?What can be used to create the effect of sand around them? Why do you think the Great Pyramids are so important in The World History?Can you think and tell about unique historical objects of Ukraine ? Find some information and prepare your own project.
