Subject Matter: My Favorite Food

Aims:

-to introduce new lexis to the topic;

-to revise the words;

-to develop reading, writing, speaking skills;

-to practice the usage of the expressions “I like”, “ I don’t like”

Equipment: a computer, a PPT, food flashcards, handouts, pictures.

Procedure:

1. Introduction

• Greeting

Motivation

I like juice,

I like tea.

These are drinks

For you and me.

2. Main Part

Speaking

Revision of the lexis. The pupils answer the teacher’s questions :

What is it?

Is this a sweet? Etc.

 

A Game “Point to…”

The teacher names food and students have to point them.

A Game “I like…”, “ I don’t like”

Two tables are drawn on the blackboard. This is Mary. Mary is a girl. She is a good girl. Mary likes juice, bananas and tomatoes.

Answering the questions

-Who likes apples?

-Who likes sandwiches?..
