Мета:

Навчальна – ознайомлення учнів з інформацією про частини Великобританії, населення, розвиток мовленнєвих навиків (діалогічне, монологічне мовлення);

Розвивальна – розвиток навиків до узагальнення, розвитку пам’яті та уваги;

Виховна – формування навиків активної співпраці на уроці, виховання поваги до символів інших країн.

Тип уроку: урок вивчення нового матеріалу

Обладнання: карта Великобританії, Зошит учня, Power Point Presentation, проектор, мультимедійна дошка

 

Хід уроку

І. Організаційний момент

T.:

Good morning boys and girls!

P.:

We are glad to meet again,

If it snows, if it rains,

It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter.

Hurry up, don’t be late

We shall read and than translate,

We shall read, we shall write,

We shall poems recite.

T.:

We shall study a little,

So we go to Great Britain!!!

But at the beginning of our lesson, tell me how are you, because I am good, so how are you boys and girls?

(Pupils answer the question using the “smiles” in the Pupil’s book)

ІІ. Актуалізація опорних знань

 

At the beginning of our trip let’s remind some facts we’ve already known about this country. I think our old friend Spider on the blackboard will help us. So, we begin “Brainstorm”.

This is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. That is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The population of Britain is more than 58 mln people. 49 mln live in England, 5 mln live in Scotland, above 3 mln live in Wales and 1,5 mln live in Northern Ireland. Each part has its own flag. 7 mln people live in London – the capital city. The head of the state Is a Queen. You can see the head on banknotes, stamps and coins. She lives in London, in Buckingham Palace.

There are many famous cities in Great Britain. Among them are: Edinburgh – the capital of Scotland, famous with its castles. York – is known with its beautiful cathedrals and narrow streets. Stratford upon Avon – the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Liverpool, a very important port and a home of “Beatles”. Cambridge and Oxford – famous for their universities.

As we have already mentioned the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland consists of four parts, so let’s combine in four groups for our next task.
