Урок "Визначні місця Лондона"

Тема: Sights of London (the 4th form).

Мета:

• навчальна: активізувати лексичний матеріал;

ввести нові лексеми;

навчати  діалогічного та монологічного мовлення за темою;

 відпрацювати вживання лексем в усному та письмовому мовленні;

 узагальнити вживання мовленнєвих структур;

 формувати й удосконалювати комунікативні навички;

 систематизувати граматичний матеріал (граматичні структури           There is / are, to be going to, майбутній час);

• розвиваюча: розвивати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення;
• розвивати й удосконалювати комунікативні навички, вміння аналізувати та систематизувати отриману інформацію;

 удосконалювати та розвивати навички письма;

 розвивати навички читання;

 розвивати навички роботи в парі та команді;

 розвивати готовність учнів до участі в іншомовному мовленні;

• виховна: виховувати почуття поваги до пам’яток культури в пізнанні світової культури;

виховувати толерантність, доброзичливість.

Тип уроку: узагальнення та систематизація знань, засвоєння нового   матеріалу.

Форми роботи: робота в парах і групах, індивідуальна робота, проектна                робота.

Обладнання: презентація до уроку, відеоролик, мультимедійне обладнання,               картки для розподілу на групи, картки з граматичними структурами, із               словами, ватман.

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Привітання.

      T: Good morning pupils (students). (Slide 1)

           How are you today?

      What day is it today?

       What month is it today?

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу  

 Вступна бесіда.

 T: What is the capital of Ukraine?  

      What cities are there in Ukraine?

       Did you go to Kyiv?

       Do you know what is the capital of Great Britain?

       Would you like to go to London?

   I would like to …  (Структура на дошці)

3. Перевірка домашнього завдання.

 T: Read the sentences in Past Simple Tense about your travelling to Kyiv.

4. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

 1) T: Today we’ll make a travelling to London.

     We’ll speak about the capital of Great Britain, about some sights of                       London. We’ll learn and revise the words, grammar tenses and                                                    structures. You’ll make the dialogues about travelling, make the projects                           about landmarks of London and make short stories about them.

     So, the topic of our lesson is “The most famous sights of London”.

2) T: Pupils, open your exercise books and write down the date and the topic of our lesson.    (Slide 2)

ІІ. Основна частина.

1. Revising the words.

1. T: Do you like travelling?

     Where and when did you travel?

 Did you travel to Kyiv?

 How did you get to Kyiv?

What word are connected  with the word “Travelling”.

Let’s make a Mind-maps:

  How can we travel?     What can you see during

        the traveling ?

(Запитання написані на ватмані, учні, користуючись картками із словами, створюють Mind-map).             

2. T: Today we are going to travel to london.

    How can we get to London?

 But, we’ll go to London with helping the presentation.

     We’ll make the travelling.

 Look at the board and say:          (Slide 3)

 Is London a city or a village?

 What places are in the city?

 What can we do there?

2. Learning new words and information about London.

1. Reading the text about London.  (Slide 4)

T: Look at the board and read the text in order.

2. Post-reading activity.

T: What places are there in London?

(Учні дивляться на текст на дошці, називають місця, користуючись словами, які вже вчили і знають)

3. T: Look attentivly and you can see  the new words.

Look at the pictures and repeat after me.    (Slide 5)

4. T: What the most famos sights are there in London?

Let’s look at these picture and say them.    (Slide 6)

3. Revising the grammar (to be going to and Future Simple Tense)

T: Look at the board. You can see the questions.

Your task: answer the questions continuing the sentences.  (Slide 7)

 When will you go to London?

  I will go …

 What are you going to do in London?

  I am going to …

 What sights will you visit?

 What sights are you going to see?

4. Speaking. Making short dialogues.

T: And now make dialogues using the questions and answers above.   

5. Reading.

T: You have got to know  that there are a lot of sights in London. All of them are beautiful and interesting. It’s so exciting to visit them. Maybe in your future you will be able to make the traveling to London and see the sights of London. But  now we only can make this travelling with helping presentation.

T: Read and listen to attentively and try to understand the information.

6. Speaking and writing

Work in groups.

1. T: Divide into 3 groups by numbers (or by colours).

Take the cards and combine by numbers (or by colours)

2. T: Take the paper with the picture of Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Tower of Bridge and the cards with information about these sights.

Make the project about one landmark.

(Pupils work in groups, every group makes the story about one of the sights of London, using the card with information about them)

3. T: Choose the speaker and tell about sight of London . Show us the project work.
