Topic:  Ukraine.

Цілі: удосконалювати навички усного мовлення й аудіювання з опорою на лексико-граматичні структури; удосконалювати навички монологічного висловлювання, читання; розвивати мовленнєву реакцію учнів; виховувати любов до своєї країни.

Materials: textbooks, cards, the presentation, the computer and the projector.

1. Vocabulary practice.

1. Revision of the words, using the cards. (the National flag, the national coat of arms, the Ukrainian anthem, the Black sea, the sea of Azov, the Carpathian mountains, the Crimean mountains, the north, the south, the east, the west.)

The highest mountain — Hoverla (2.061 metres), Roman Kosh (1.545 metres).

The longest river — the Dnipro.

The biggest cities – Odessa,

Climate — mild and warm.

The biggest lake in Ukraine is Lake Yalpuh and the deepest one is Lake Svityaz.

There are the Carpathian Mountains with the highest peak Hoverla  in the west of the country.

Ukraine is situated in the southeastern part of  Europe.

The geographical centre of Europe is situated in the small town of Rakhiv, in Zakarpattia.

Our Motherland is the country of many rivers.

There are the Crimean Mountains with the highest peak Roman-Kosh in the south.
