Topic: Wild life. Superlative adjectives.

Objectives: revise learnt Vocabulary (names of the animals)

           practise the Superlative degree of adjectives

                   enrich children's knowledge about wild life

Equipment: animal cards, grammar table " Superlative degree of                                             adjectives ", puzzles

Procedure

  1. Greetings. How are you today? I hope, you're fine

Recite a poem " Wild  animals"

 

Crocodile is long and green

The sharpest teeth you have ever seen

His legs are short, his mouth is wide

Get too close you will be inside!

 

Elephant is large and grey

Swings his trunk along the way

His ears are big, his tusks are white

Don’t be scared, he does not bite!

 

 

  1. Vocabulary revision. Pupils watch a Power Point presentation "Wild life" and  guess the names of the animals.

 A role-play  "Pass a flag" (children pass a flag of Great Britain in turn and name the animals):

 

  • Ostrich
  • Frog
  • Camel
  • Gorilla
  • Bat
  • Snake
  • Octopus
  • Elephant

 

  1. Language point.  Superlative adjectives.

(Pupils revise grammar by means of the table)

(Children mime animals and guess them, using the questions:
