                                                                         Моя сім’я.

Objectives: Students will be able to:

• greet people;
• ask and answer the question “Who’s this?”;
• use new lexical units (hello, hi, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, goodbye, mother, father, sister, brother, grandfather, grandmother ).

Equipment and materials:  Computer, TV, flashcards, HO, HO, HO snake alphabet jigsaw,  a poster, CVC cards, envelope, certificates.

Procedure:

1.Greeting

• Teacher says “Hello” and encourages pupils to say “Hello” in response.

“Look at the monitor and try to remember how people greet each other during the day”.

• Children listen and repeat lexical units: Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Good Night.

Ask one child to stand up and say “Good Morning” to the child next to him/her. Encourage children to do the same in pairs, greet each other according to their flashcards (HO) and give the answers.

2.Warming-up

Look ! I have an envelope……….and ………….there is a secret code inside it.

Pps give answers to the questions and get the code .

What is your name?  Letter F

How are you? Letter A

How old are you? Letter M

What is your mother’s name? Letter I

What is your father’s name? Letter L

Who’s this? Letter Y

Pps stick letters on the board and one of them reads the word “FAMILY”

3.Learning new vocabulary

• Ask pupils to look at the monitor. Show them video and encourage to repeat the words.

4.Reading

a) The children are given HO. Read and choose one of three pictures.

b) CVC Activity

Children read CVC words.

5.Relaxation.

“ I  see you are tired. Let’s have a rest. Please, stand up and  sing a song.”

How do you do ?

6. Game: “Alphabet race”

“And now it’s high time to play a game.”

• Divide children into two teams. Each team has snake alphabet jigsaw. Children race to see who can complete it first. Children match the segments.

7. Speaking.

• Pupils are given HO .

Pps  draw  their family members in the house. They draw everyone they live with including pets. Then they tell the class about their picture. ”Meet my family. This is my father. His name is…”

The lesson is over. You were great today! Thank you!

(The teacher says “Good bye”.  Pupils sing the song “Bye, bye, good bye!”)

The most active pupils receive certificates.
